Whats up with all that smoke from tyres? (online)

    I enjoyed playing online (all night) There is a smoke from tyres. Its worse than Aussie bush fires. At first, I though it was cool and funny but when you race against 25 people the whole place looked like Armageddon.

    I like this smoke feature but make it disappear a bit quicker :p

    I presume by your comment you are in Aus and racing on a Europe based server. If so, the smoke is due to your ping to the server. It is being investigated.

    I'm not alone then....thought the other guys were testing their brakes on the straights.........
    I'm in Aus and was using an RRE rated server.

    @Paul Darke Just as a heads up, I am also seeing what I would call puffs of smoke that appear in the straights mainly.
    It can be on any track. I am in Tennessee using the RRE rated servers. My ping usually shows a 154 measure without much if any blinking or stuttering opponents.

    Does turning off ingame smoke or particle effects remove the smoke?
    It doesnt distract or bother me.
    Thats what i thought too lol.. Theres a thing in V8's on Bathurst where drivers would pump the brake pedal down the straights to keep high temps in the brakes. I thought people were just doing it for that. Never thought it was actually a bug.
