Monolith made some really great games, but my favorite was another underrated gem, the No One Lives Forever series!
NOLF was alright though I didn't care for the endlessly spawning enemies. My favorite of theirs was oddly enough SHOGO: Mobile Armor Division. I say oddly because I generally don't care that much for anime... Though I did really like Robotech as a kid. Besides playing pretty much all the simulators, I find it oddly relaxing to play a few missions in Warframe and during the winter sale I grabbed the Division which is filling the same need to just kick back and relax when sim racing is too intense.
If anyone wants a free Assassin's Creed Key, PM me. I own it on so many damn systems I don't need it on PC. edit given away that quickly!! wow
Has anyone of you started Mass Effect Andromeda? Reports and ratings in Germany are a bit so-so. I did like the old Shepard trilogy very much and I'm not sure to share my racetime with some spacetime.
I have, it's alright. If you liked the old ME games chances are you'll like this one as well. But it won't go down in gaming history as a classic I think. It's a bit like the old TV Sci-fi series based of movies. It scratches that itch for more Mass Effect, and all the bits and pieces are there, but it's larger scope means an overall less polished product and it shows. Play it if you want more Mass Effect, but if you're pressed for time there are probably better games out there. Heck the new Zelda game that just came out will probably go down in gaming history as a classic, play that instead.
Having a real pile of shame in my steamoriginuplaygog account, I think I'll pass for the moment. I would have gone for it, if it would have been a gem. Thanks for advice!
What do you mean with "what else"? My limited free time only allows me to play my favourite game atm... ok some Witcher 3 here and there... But for now it's only raceroom
I changed games since last time I've posted. I still play few times: - AOE II HD Edition - NBA 2K14 - CS: GO (with bots... don't ask me why... ) but i added: - Borderlands with all the DLC (I stream it in Twitch ) - Don't Starve
When I don't simrace, Portal 2 (mostly coop with a friend) or sometimes Teeworlds. I also play Euro Truck Simulator 2, that is a bit slower...
Spending far too much time on Stellaris atm. Combat-system is a little rocky, but otherwise a fantastic 4x. Oxygen Not Included is right up there as well, along with Blood Bowl II. Other than that, it's mostly puzzle-games (PictoPix, Hexcells, Squarecells, Shenzhen I/O, SpaceChem etc. ) that takes most of my other game time......Until MatrixGames finally decide to release English Civil War, that is.
Currently, jumping between rFactor 2 and R3E. But, waiting for Starcraft remaster and maybe, Bulletstorm
Besides R3E I play AC, AMS, rF2, F1 2016 and GTR2. My first sim after re-entering the world of gaming was pCars. Looks great, drives shitty. Except the Radical SR3. I don't play other genre games, although I like first person shooters etc. but I get really sick when I look longer than a few minutes. Even on F1 2016 I have to close my eyes when the car drives out of the pitbox. And in the '90s I enjoyed Geoff Crammond's GP2 with a Thrustmaster T2. And all Papyrus titles. And Toyota Rally or how it was named. Those were the days... With a potmeter bungeecord steering which was hardly to get centered in game.
Recently bought into Peak Angle: Drift Online. Very nice arcade game with believable physics. Lot's of tuning options and very fun drifting focused on being close the the markers and keeping up the combo. The only drawback is the price, since the game is still in beta and there is already a hefty bunch of DLC (which I bought as part of the bundle). If you like drifting, not necessarily in sim mode and with a wheel, I think this is quite a good product.
There are some great games and sims which I really like. Part 1 - Horror Games: Blair Witch, Vol. 1: Rustin Parr Alan Wake Layers of Fear Friday the 13th: The Game
i take a little break from race simming atm ...and I do flight simming instead. playing the hell out of x-plane 11. even got a yoke now :-D Sightseeing tour for racetracks .. yeah.
Not really playing since it's not out yet but I did pre-order DiRT 4 since the your stage stuff looks interesting.
