I stumbled across this old video. I have music blaring, and I see this video auto playing on youtube.... I had to do a double take. I thought I heard Jacque Villenueve talking....and when I looked, I thought....WOW... Alex looked like he could be Jacque's brother.
I see track magic shining in his eyes, a master of his arts. Is he a lone warrior when he takes on the track work, or does he have colleagues also dealing with track design and arts?
lol. Not to fanboy either of these guys....... but dang....the resemblance... And to a certain extent, they have similar inflections....until Alex's German accent crops up. Some good natured ribbing goin on at the office - I bet! sorry Alex
He makes replicating a track sound easy - why does it take so long? I reckon R3E could push 2 or 3 tracks a week out if they wanted to. Glad they don't - learning a new track takes me way too long these days..... I have had Sachsenring (Euro Track Pack) for a month - still haven't done a lap. Too scary! But if it's as good as SALZBURGRING then that is a pleasure I can look forward to. Really appreciate your work Alex and everyone else at R3E. And now that I've buttered you up, the track I reckon you should do next................. Nah, you choose.
... a longer German track? what can that might be? what is missing? ok, there are a lot in Germany, which one might be interesting to bring to raceroom? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_motor_racing_tracks ok, the video is two ears old so it was the Nordschleife
Germany 6x real race tracks (5x + X fun & wannabe tracks) 13,70 million inhabitants per race track USA over 900 real race tracks (over 700 dirt ovals, over 30 drag strips, over 90 asphalt ovals, over 70 road courses + X fun & wannabe tracks) 0,36 million inhabitants per race track USA - The motorsport nation No. 1 worldwide!!! PS: Germany is missing over 220 (car) race tracks for same proportion!
ok ... wait ... Germany 59.563 square kilometer per race track USA 10.927 square kilometer per race track The USA is still the motorsport nation No. 1 worldwide and Germany is missing over 27 car racing tracks for same proportion!
Formula 1??? Ahhh … who needs this multi-million dollar stuff if every normal worker (in the USA) can afford his own racing team: I am not really a big fan of these (boring) high society events like F1 and Co. … because racing have to be affordable. Unfortunately, this is not the case nowadays but this have to change in the future of Germany! Racing by the people / normal worker, for the people / normal worker!
