i remember reading somewhere that codemasters still have the rights for a btcc game even though they aren't planing to release one.

Who expected DiRT Rallye?

 

There has been rumor for the last year or so that Codemaster is working on a touring car heavy game for a while with a BTCC driver.

If Autosport and Dirt Rally is any indication of the quality of that game, I am really looking forward to it.

 

I still love firing up Race 07 just for the STCC stuff. So much fun

So...yesterday sector 3 on fb showed us a picture of Macau...this probably means release of wtcc 214 is getting closer...problem is...is this another thing on the soonish scale?if so how soon is it?

 

WTCC should get out quickly otherwise they'll have to go straight for WTCC 2015

 

It's a shame that 2014 content will come halfway through the 2015 season.

 

Once the '14 pack is done, the '15 pack should 'only' really require the one model and a few skins though; it's not like most games release their current season at the beginning of the year either.

 

True, but other games release in the same calendar year at least.

 

I know CM since their first Toca Game in 98. And I don't believe anything they say anymore, since they made promises for "heavy" (realistic)racegames every year and come out with the same old mainstream crap they know they get their pockets filled (much candy, less substance, like Disney Movies).

 

Yep...but at least toca 1 and toca 3 were really fun games...

 

I know I'm getting off topic here, but the Early Access of DiRT Rally is very promising in this regard.

 

It was a rumor that they had been working on a touring car game. Nothing is confirmed.

Dirt Rally and Grid Autosport is going on the right direction towards what TOCA or CMR was. I dont see whats wrong with arcade games as there are "sim" heavy games that is awful to play.

 

Dirt Rally is fantastic at least to me and much more fun than Dirt 3. I've also enjoyed Grid Autosport more than Grid 1 and 2. Count me as another who'd love to see the STCC in R3E. Still fun to fire up a championship season in Race 07 of them and run it.
