I used some nice Puma shoes (thin sole, soft leather, slim on your feet - kinda sport footwear I like the most anyway - please throw out any Moon Boots looking shit plus additional gizmos for rappers and such, dear shoe industry :)) & bicycle gloves, which give the best grip and sense to your hands while not feeling like an Eskimo behind the wheel of a Plow Truck :)

Well yeah, and during hot summerdays I also prefer barefoot (otherwise i would get into trouble the moment my wife detects "the smell"...)

I used to race in socks but I found my heels would get tired resting against the floorplate. Bonus of being able to feel like Senna when Heel&Toeing:

Before my Fanatec pedals, many moons ago i used to use some crappy lightweight pedals that if you wore shoes using there was no feeling whatsoever, now with the heavy Fanatecs socks alone are way too uncomfortable, hurts my feet, so lightweight shoes or pumps it is for me now!

And these are specially made for endurance races for the Dutch ;).

But normally I drive with my water shoes, nice soft and flexible, something in between of socks and shoes

I drive with barfoot shoes. Very comfortable and a lot of grip! Or with my carting shoes.

This...i tend to just use what i have on (or not on)...unless its big shoes cant do that. Might be time to upgrade.

Strangely enough, ive also been considering seatbelt harness. Useless i know, but so many time i sit down in the seat and feel naked without one. A year ago i would have slapped some sense into me for this idea.

I've had the same thought occasionally. And slapped myself for it. The strangest thought that occurs to me is a helmet. But, the sound of my wife and kids hysterical laughter would be too distracting:laughing:

I've tried several things, also because of my chair/pedal position not being exactly ideal... It ends up more being toe and side of foot, which had a habit of destroying most things I tried, since the fabric on the side of whatever I wore got destroyed. Ended up using aqua socks, they work great since the fabric is nylon, or whatever it is, and does not get wrecked within a month.

So I went from regular slippers, to kung fu shoes, to aqua socks. Which makes me a hybrid of a slacker, Bruce Lee and Jacques Cousteau, I think? I'll first eat some snacks, then kick your ass and to top it off save some giant turtles.

Amen to that! There comes a point where actually have to consider the embarassment to them and the family name...

Scratch that: I put a stiffer spring on both the throttle and the clutch pedal, so now I'm wearing these after all
