I wonder why my FPS with GT3 is 25fps while DTM '16 is 60fps (Vsync) Both the exact same conditions. 30 cars same track. Running triple setup. Is this because of the GT3 physics update? Edit: Tried setting everything to low/medium same result... Edit 2: Literally every thing bone low, its giving me 60 (vsync)
I would assume without knowing your machine that the issue comes from all the different car models. DTM has 3 cars, 3 sets of sounds to load and play. GTR3 class has 19 cars, 19 sets of sounds. So that would probably be a reason.
Sounds like a valid point. I messed around with the settings a bit, mostly still the same as I used to have (High). Only changed visible cars to 25 and track level detail from high to medium. I seem to be getting around 60-75fps in cockpit view and around 80-90+ in hood view.. (disabled vsync for this testing) Does it help to reduce visible cars even more? Because for this testing purpose I used 30 cars on Paul richard's short version.
I continued testing and the fps drop is caused by: Track level detail. Confirmed this by switching between Med - high. Medium is giving me that 60-75fps while High is giving me 22-25fps. Unless the difference between med/high in this setting are significant I can understand the FPS difference but if not, I suppose something is wrong?
This sounds odd indeed. Maybe some bug on Paul Ricard then. Unless it's something happening to you on all tracks.
It seems like the FPS impact is only occurring on Paul Richard. FPS is fluctuating all over the place, from a solid 60 to 25.. (Vsync) Using high track detail Could this be bad optimization? Because around Suzuka same 30 AI I get a solid 60fps. (Vsync) Using high track detail Hungaroring same result as above ^ Can you look into this?
Playing with the Rift i have the same problem to, not to hit 90FPS with GT3 cars, no matter how low i set the graphics. Is there a way to disable most GT3 cars? I'd like to do a GT3 championship with only the 6 new cars, while no such setting is in the interface, are there some ini files you can fiddle with to achieve that? Maybe this would solve the FPS issue for me, where it's especially important in VR.
