    What I already have:
    - an adjustable foot rest for the pedals
    - an old racing seat including rails

    What I want:
    - a simple rig made of 40x40 mm aluminium profiles where I can mount the foot rest and the seat

Here is the result of my first attempt using CAD software ever. What do you think about it? Will it be stable enough for a Thrustmaster T300?

I have a 80/20 style rig as well (started as a simlabs p1), I would highly recommend having the verticals go over/around the base versus on top of. This way you can put a serious bracket there and it will be incredibly stable. Just my 2 cents..

Your seat is a under mount btw? standard automotive versus bucket style? I did that for awhile and regretted it. I ended up going to a bucket and wasting money/time. I of course had a older sparco evo so that helped the cost.

I just realized your base was 45x45.. I would seriously consider 40/80.. It's a little more expensive but for your base you really want a little more material.. They even make lighter weight 80/40s (I think there are 3 common weights).. pick the middle to save a little money..

    Also no shifter or handbrake?

It is a mix of 40x40 and 40x80 mm. The plan is to keep the costs around 100 €.
I don't own a shifter or handbrake. I could add it later but I don't really need it.

    Here is the latest version:

I love it! It is much stiffer than expected. Have I already said that I love it? :-D
