Hello all, I just wanted to ask a question, what is the chances of Super GT500 coming to Raceroom? Especially with the upcoming merger with DTM and the availability of Japanese tracks on Raceroom, I think Raceroom could corner the PC sim racing market, for the series.
I'm sure the devs are interested but it depends on alot more then that. What does Autobacs, who manage Super GT think. What would the license cost and so on.
As far as I know, Sega holds the Super GT licence, but I don't know if it is an exclusive one or not.
"Gran Turismo" also recorded SuperGT (JGTC) many times. It is not exclusive rest assured There are lots of voices wishing for SuperGT in the R3E community. "GT3class" has SuperGT liverys. It is evidence that Sector 3 has a interest in SuperGT. (I'm very happy) But Recording of the GT 500 may be more difficult than DTM. (Money, distance, technical, etc ...) https://forum.sector3studios.com/in...-autobacs-super-gt-gt300-and-gt500-pack.4401/
Well as far as I know S3 don't have the DTM license any longer but with RR's close ties with Asia never say never. All I can say is if they merge there is no better studio to make the most of such a license, many of the tracks required for such a series are already available in RR, with another on the way apparently, so fingers crossed on this one!
The answer of Sector 3 is replying in the form of "silence". In other words ...It will be "such a thing".
Would be great if Sector3 came up with something like "WTM 2020 Experience" or whatever the new DTM will be called
That Sega stuff is just typical console crap with a lot of eyecandy and a racing experience where the term " realistic driving physics" doesn't mean much ...
