Hopefully we will see more GT3 cars in 2019 in R3E because there are many that are missing in the game...

The new roadmap update for January is nothing spectacular but, I can understand, it's not the most productive month of the year xD
There's a user guide on creating liveries with the new material system and I have to give it a try as soon as the new cars templates get released.

One of the most awaited mods for RF2, F1 1986, has been released on Steam. I know what I'll do this evening. xD

Reiza dlc pack was just release and you can buy it on Steam, containing both tracks and cars or, you can get tracks and cars in 2 different packs.

Not tried rf2 yet, what's the ffb like? (Compared to raceroom, which I see as the gold standard). How well does it run on a low end PC (i5 1050ti)

It depends, if you like raw and strong FFB with very limited fine-tuning options, you'll probably like it, I think it feels natural coming from an ISI - SimBin simracing background.

Regarding performance, it is pretty well optimized now, it runs great on my config with high-medium graphic settings (check my signature)

Im prettt sure I couldn't achieve such high framerate on max settings with 1050ti, but I had Pentium g4600 and then Ryzen 1600X

Sounds good then. I always lock to 60 anyway, R3E gives me above that unlocked so rf2 should be fine....

Just had a short multiclass race in the AJR with all the Reiza prototypes around Ibarra, and it really reminded me why I think rF2 is the best sim when all goes well (which, unfortunately, seems to be a matter of the planets happening to align on any given day). The AJR is still a great drive even after the game hop.

If you are curious in depth, have a look at explanation of Pasejka tire model (rF1, R3E) vs Physics based modeling (rF2, iRacing) http://www.sim-racing.co.uk/pdf/Tires-in-race-simulations.pdf This article is biased towards Pasejka, but when you will drive rF2 it might make more sense once you're aware of this article. Another thing this article is silent about is that Pasejka is basically a hack at pit lane speeds (because math explodes at low speeds), so one thing I really like about in rF2 is that wheels always feel connected to the road. Note I am not promoting rF2, I love R3E as well, just waiting for a few features to get added. But if you'd like to understand FFB differencies, understanding tire model might help :)

PS: one more difference is rF2 has no "canned FFB effects". Everything comes from the simulation. Essentially there are just two FFB parameters to play with - per vehicle multiplier and min force %.
