    Hi all,

I noticed that the colours in the game are a bit dull. Not life-like as we see in Pcars for example. To me it looks like there is a thin grey foil added to all car windows. The overall look is missing contrast. Are more users experience the same or is it just my perception?

I always thought the PCars 2 color palette was really unnatural and far too neon colored. Raceroom/iRacing seem to have the most natural colours compared to real life I find.

You have cloudy weather in both real life pictures, while in pCARS it's sunny

Funny, because yesterday I was thinking about posting the same thing but then I changed my mind... I really like the cleanliness and clarity of Raceroom graphics, but from a colour balance/contrast point of view, I agree that they can be a bit dull sometimes, and it has been bothering me for awhile.

I mainly notice it when I go from Automobilista to Raceroom. AMS might have old lighting, but the colours and shaders look more natural to me. In Raceroom the contrast is too low, the darks are too light/grey and the colours often don't pop enought. Sometimes it looks a bit washed out.

Or maybe it's not the colour balance but just the shaders that are old and simple and don't react to the light the way they should.

Anyway, altough this is something I notice sometimes it's not the priority for me, and as long as they keep improving the physics like they are doing right now I'll be a happy customer :)

Also, I'm pretty sure the "Simulation vs Reality" videos from Georg have some sort of visual adjustments and higher contrast applied becouse they look better/different than what the game looks on my screen.

And don't forget to switch the full RGB output in Graphics Card driver.
    Standard is limited.

With full, Raceroom looks like a new game.
On Nvidia you can find it under Resolution Settings.

It's in the Nvidia Control Panel:

There should be a little nvidia icon in the taskbar and if you right click on it, it should show you an option to open the control panel.

Thanks. I was already on full though. Any advantage changing colours from 8 to 12 bit?

I tried it and found no difference, from a little research only very very high end displays support 12 bit colour. For normal use 8bit full range is as good as it gets.
