Question Pit stop...risky fuel

I was recently at a race at spa and needed to pit for fuel and repair about 1/3 through the race. Took risky fuel and didn't even get close to finishing the race .I was at least 2 1/2 laps short. Anyone else run into this?

 

Did you try to save some fuel during that stint ? To me risky implies you must save some fuel in order to finish the race.

 

It's a bit vague, isn't it?

 

I agree risky to me says fuel saving will be needed, but not over 2 laps worth.

 

In game fuel calcs are off anyway, they overestimate how much you need for a given distance so maybe the overestimate how much not to put in for "risky"

Perhaps the settings should be:

1 suicidal
2 to much
3 to the moon

 

I am lazy...but luckily crew chief does the hard work for me. I'd be nowhere without Jim!

 

Now that we have fuel consumption figures it has made it possible, but prior to that nearly impossible to get it right. Be sure to get the web app as it is fantastic.

Really? CC and second monitor have been giving me accurate fuel calcs ever since I can remember.
