    You are not looking in the right folder... the .PLR file you are talking about is something different. the ControlSet folder only contains .RCS files, you can just open those with notepad.

    After not playing R3E for a while I have to say the ffb is coming along nicely.

    With further tinkering ive now found a setting that transforms my wheel, in a very good way

    FFB steer force grip weight=

    At 1.0 (default) the wheel was loose an sloppy under braking (the resistance would disappear ) or going through a corner.

    I studied some of the higher quality wheels profile templates and the Accuforce wheel is set to 0.35 so i set mine at that.

    Wow what a difference!!

    Now I can brake without the wheel loosing all of its FFB causing me to lock up as the wheel had not tension in the middle at 1.0. The wheel feels wonderfully firm under load and i can feel the direction of the front tyres so much easier now.

    I wish I knew about this setting sooner

    When will a DD2 profile be added into Race room??? I can get it to Map buttons, Gas Brake even drive with it but the cars DOR don't seem to set correct.

    Note I can use the DD2 by setting it into v2.5 compatibility mode and all feels Great...Just wondering if anything/ features, FFB is Missing because its Not a native podium DD2 profile yet.

    Go to

    ..\Steam\steamapps\common\raceroom racing experience\Game\GameData\General
    Edit steering_wheels.xml

    Add in:

    <key type="uint32">462519</key> <!-- FANATEC Podium Wheel Base DD2-->
    <value>
    <vendorSpecificRangeLock type="bool">true</vendorSpecificRangeLock>
    <minWheelRange type="uint32">90</minWheelRange>
    <maxWheelRange type="uint32">1080</maxWheelRange>
    <alwaysCreateEffects type="bool">true</alwaysCreateEffects>
    <supportsSpringEffect type="bool">true</supportsSpringEffect>
    <supportsDamperEffect type="bool">true</supportsDamperEffect>
    </value>

    Not sure if the key will be the same (462519) but if not, go into your RCS controller file
    Documents\My Games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience\UserData\ControlSet\YourFilehere.rcs
    Grab the ID from here:
    DeviceName[00]="FANATEC Podium Wheel Base DD2"
    DeviceId[00]="(462519, -1, -1, 0)"

    And change it in the steering_wheels.xml

    It will then automatically change DOR based on the vehicle, when set to auto ;)
    Not had a prob mapping things though. Just been dialing in my ffb settings, but loving it so far.

    Thanx!!! Now all I gotta do is get it in there and Not screw it up...LOL
    The DD2 works fine in v 2.5 compatibility mode....Just wondering if anything/ features, FFB is Missing because its Not a Native podium DD2 profile yet.

    AFAIK it's only changing the Device ID.

    FWIW, I haven't been using it in compatibility mode, everything is starting to feel spot on, need to tweak a bit more though.

    This is what I have so far, easier to send file, since I have made a few small edits too.
    Podium Settings (the main ones anyway):
    Sens: Auto, FF: 100, For: 100, ndP: 025, nFr: 10, FEI: 100.

    And the change in post #569

    You might have to remap some things, since I use a button box too (although taken it out of this profile). I will probably twiddle around with things over the next week or so still, but its feeling good to me, so far.

    Edit: That's with my Formula Carbon Rim, when I use my Porsche rim, I tend to have to turn up the steering force a touch.

    I copied and pasted the settings and they went in right because the game set the DOR correctly...Only thing is with same exact settings used on wheel and in Game the DD2 feels 2x as strong as it does when i use v2.5 compatibility mode:eek: i went back to v2.5 compat mode for Now...Have you tried v 2.5 compat mode vs PC mode??? Do you Notice a strength difference??? Maybe i did something wrong???

    I haven't had the need to try compatibility mode, yet. For reference, the above setting outputs around 12nm on a high downforce corner in the FRX-17, which I find to be just right, for me ;)

    Its actually 3x more powerful:D but v2.5 mode it still acts and feels like a DD2 and will Hit its Max 25Nm... with wheel FFB at 30% Cornering is on average 7+ Nm or more.... v2.5 has Never put out that amount of RAW power and held it through a turn Not even at 100%... this thing is a beast something was definitely off... The wheel felt more Stiff and Heavy than Powerful... the power was there but just in wheel weight.

    what ever the case i deleted the entire folder and went back to v2.5 compatibility mode and all was good again... I will try again over the weekend.

    Give this profile a try, interested to see what others think too ;)
    FFB & FOR on wheel @ 100. It's a lot more refined than the previous one, imo.

    I'll test your file once I receive my (new) DD1 back. Hopefully by the end of this week.
