All those news are great :), but what about cars missing in some already implemented series ???
Just talking about GT4, where are the Audi, BMW, McLaren, brands already in the game, in GT2, GT3....???:(
Note that I didn't even mention brands like Alpine, Ginetta and Maserati, as I'm sure we won't have them in the game...;)

They have mentioned more GT cars are on the way. What those will be is something we will see in the future when they are ready to announce it.

Also, I've just had another look at the FX-90, and I think I can see blue wheel rims?

They liked to have various rings colors on formula cars in general during that era, and I think it looked great ;) :

Oh yeah! I have never been a formula one fan, but the cars from this time (1990 - 1993) had just the perfect open-wheel car design like the late 90s Champ Car bullets (1998 - 1999). That's why I will definitely buy the new FR X-90 in complete contrast to the FR X-17. I hope we will see the official licensed copies of the following cars in the RaceRoom store one day.

I would think that F1 aren't the most relaxed group when it comes to licencing, as far as I know, Codemasters are the only people who have any licence, so developers like Reiza and Sector3 have to bend the rules.

Just one more for good measure, best era for F1 IMO. Still love the Jordan the best though.

1990-95 is my favourite era too. Possibly because they were the cars I grew up with, but mainly because they are so elegant, simple lines, relatively simple engineering, no computer aero simulation creating the ugly aero packages we have now. Just car and driver. I have a soft spot for the Minardi m191 with Lamborghini power... 102.jpg

That sums it up perfectly, put these cars in a sim with the classic tracks of the day (not a piecemeal of mods either) and I don't think I would drive anything else.

If you're a fan of this era I'd recommend reading Adrian Newey's autobiography, very interesting insight into the design decisions made in the late 80's and early 90's in particular. Amazing what they did without the help of computers back then. A brilliant read for any Motorsport fan.

Hmm. What about traction control, ABS, active suspension? All in use in the period 1990-95.

But I completely agree about the simpler bodywork and aero.

True, active was a very short run thing though, only really perfected for one year before it was outlawed. Even so, the cars were relatively simple compared to what we have today. Modern F1 is technically outstanding but I just can't love the cars, they are all the same, there's not a lot of room for designers to think out of the box anymore....mainly because the computer tests everything before it's even been made. Not many people could tell one modern car from another if they were all painted the same.

Formation lap and outlab after a race, and ..... a saftey car, anything else? when we would have to pay for this upgrade I would do it right away. I have no clue is money is the issue here
