Wow nice, but is it only in LAN? I saw that for Zandvoort the race is online... and for the others?

 

All qualifiers and the shootout races to become one of the permanent drivers is online. The championship races are LAN.

Were there any physics changes in terms of ADAC GT Masters pack since the last competition/championship held during spring?

 

Audi and Mercedes received an update at the end of last season.

 

Updated rules, mostly small stuff:
- Clarified full season starter procedure. If you get top 8 in shootout and accept your place, you commit to showing up 4 times.
- Fixed some wrong headlines and spelling errors.
- Increased ballast weight for the shootout for Mercedes to 45 kg.
- Added pitstop info.

I expect some reserve drivers to get in this time, so if you are in the area just outside of top 30, stay alert to your e-mails.
Invitations have been sent up to P34, since some drivers already confirmed they cannot attend the season.

Hillebrand hits Caserta from way back into a spin.

Kolvenbach vs. Heinemann, Lap 2, Turn 2
Heinemann takes a slowdown on the outside of turn 2, he is not really on the racing line and doesn't affect Kolvenbach a lot. There could be better places to take a slowdown but this one is just about ok.

Kolvenbach vs. Heinemann, Lap 4, Turn 2
Heinemann is side by side with Hillebrand, brakes too late and hits the car ahead, Kolvenbach, into a spin. They stand head on on the road and resolve the situation by both doing dangerous manoevers. Heinemann reverses and forces Courtois into avoiding action, while Kolvenbach flickspins into Sieren.
This situation should have been resolved by Kolvenbach reversing and Heinemann going forward, or by both drivers pressing escape, since it it is not the fault of the other competitors, that are disadvantaged, that they both ended up in this situation.

Kolvenbach covers the inside into the final corner and brakes extremely early. Heinemann hits him in the back and Kolvenbach spins, but after review, we are certain that there was no way for Heinemann to anticipate this braking point.

Heinemann goes for the move on turn 1, and doesn't leave Hillebrand enough space to stay on track, forcing him to go wide.
§21.4 clearly says: When you exit a corner and the car on the outside has an overlap, you have to leave enough space for the car so that it does not have to leave the track.

Due to reaching the 3 strike limit in the shootout, Heinemann is out of the season.

Hillebrand vs. Heinemann, Lap 10, Turn 2
Heinemann goes for a normal braking point, and gets hit hard by Hillebrand who could have just braked on the outside. Even though Heinemann isn't disadvantaged, it creates a dangerous situation for Sabino.

Why does the championship use Nürburgring Short and not Nürburgring Sprint?

 

Honestly... because I was not sure about our slowdown system in our Event software And Nürb Short has less issues.

Today, the ADAC GT Masters Esports Championship really kicks off, with it's first LAN event at the RaceRoom Café at the Nürburgring! 12 simracers have travelled to the ring, to compete on the virtual track, just metres away from the real start-finish straight.
