That description sounds like typical FFB-signal clipping.

Has anybody a good FF setup for the Thrustmaster T300 Wheel to share?Mostley for the in-game menue settings?
I have always used the preselected one (-) the motor vibration!
As they improved the FF in game,i'm not really sure what should i choose now...
    Many Thanx

GamerMuscle made a video talking about his CSL Elite Force Feedback settings.

I'm currently using this at the moment in game:

    Force Feedback: On
    Inverted Force Feedback: On
    Gamepad Rumble: Off
    Force Feedback Intensity; 100%
    Smoothing: 0%
    Force Feedback Spring: 0%
    Force Feedback Damper: 0%

    Steering Force Intensity: 55%
    Force Feedback Minimum Force: 0%
Understeer: 40% (playing with 20% at the moment too, not sure which I prefer)
    Vertical Load: 35%
    Lateral Force: 65%
    Steering Rack: 50%

    Slip Effect: 0%
    Engine Vibrations: 0%
    Kerb Vibrations: 10%
    Shift Effect: 0%
    Collision Effect: 10%

On the wheel itself I use this setup:

    SEn: AUt
    FF: 100
    SHo: Off
    AbS: Off
    dRI: 002
    For: 090
    SPr: 100
    dPr: 100
    brF: 050
    FEI: Off

These are the recommended settings on the Fanatec website : https://www.fanatec.com/forum/discussion/657/raceroom-pc-fanatec-recommended-settings

    CSL Elite Wheel Base

    Tuning Menu Settings:
    SEN AUT
    FF 100
    SHO 100
    ABS User Preference
    DRI 003
    FOR 100
    SPR 100*
    DPR 100*
    BRF User Preference
    FEI 080

*SPR value only affects the 'Force Feedback Spring' setting. DPR value has a small effect on wheel weight, increasing at low speeds.

    In-Game Settings:
    Advanced Settings:
    Speed Sensitive Steering: Off
    Steering Sensitivity: 50

    Force Feedback:
    Force Feedback: On
    Inverted Force Feedback: On
    Gamepad Rumble: Off
    Force Feedback Intensity: 100
    Smoothing: 0
    Force Feedback Spring: 0
    Force Feedback Damper: 0
    Steering Force Intensity: 65
    Minimum Force: 0
    Understeer: 50
    Vertical Load: 50
    Laterial Force: 50
    Steering Rack: 100
    Slip Effect: 0
    Engine Vibrations: 0
    Kerb Vibrations: 10
    Shift Effect: 20
    Collision Effect: 50

Great link, thanks for that. I've tried them out and they are indeed quite good. Moving the dRI to 003 certainly felt better.

Still strikes me as odd to put 'Steering Rack' on 100%. The helper text in game says "The percentage lateral forces come from the steering rack rather than the tires", which makes me wonder why I'm bother to set the 'Lateral Force' setting above it if all the force feedback will come from the steering rack?! Chances are it doesn't actually work that way and Sector3 should rewrite that helper text to make it clearer for idiots like myself.

Man, I spend more time in the settings menu than I do actually driving! ;)

I think we all do. This is more or less inherent to simracing. Tweaking, testing, tweaking, testing. After a certain amount of time you think you have the best settings but then there is an update , driver or game etc and you start again with tweaking and testing..

The last few days i was reading this thread and i realized i was using the same ffb settings for a few years now.
Time for some new ffb settings :)
My new settings are mainly based on @Thomas Jansen settings you can find here.

These are my new settings :
TM CP : everything at 100%

    Force Feedback Intensity: 100%
    Smoothing: 0%
    Force Feedback Spring: 0%
    Force Feedback Damper: 0%

    Steering Force Intensity: 50%
    Force Feedback Minimum Force: 3%
    Understeer: 20%
    Vertical Load: 70%
    Lateral Force: 50%
    Steering Rack: 0%

    Slip Effect: 20%
    Engine Vibrations: 0%
    Kerb Vibrations: 10%
    Shift Effect: 10%
    Collision Effect: 10%

edit : these new settings are a complete game changer, lowering the understeer setting to 20 is so much better as @Thomas Jansen explained in his post.

What does this do? And is there any difference or compelling reason to use
TM CP=100% and Steering Force Intensity=50%, instead of TM CP=75% and Steering Force Intensity=80%, w/c I understand translates to almost the same strength?

You can find more info on this here and following posts.
I suspect it's about the same. I've always used everything 100% in TM CP for every game.

I use a Logitech G25 and when the car is sitting still or moving slowly, I have no resistance in the center of the wheel.
I prefer to feel a little resistance when turning the wheel even the slightest amount to simulate the friction you would get from tires being in contact with the asphalt. Kind of like a real car. Not a lot of friction/resistance but just enough to let you know the tires are moving left or right. I guess maybe a "center spring force" effect is what I'm referring to. Which setting would accomplish this in the game?
    Thanks

hi guys, tried those settings, coming back from ACC which at the moment is under construction, and...wow, i tried a quick race on gt3 class with amg gt3 (to have the same car i was driving on ACC) and is like day and night, the ffb of rre is way over ACC. it was a very very beautifull race.

G series wheels have always suffered from deadzone in the centre by design. You can counter it by adding more minimum force (try 15-20%) and some damper (set damper to 100 in logitech settings and then however much you want in game)

    Hi guys
    I have a question.
You see the text above. It's from first side.
But when you read the text in game, there stands, the degree the lateral forces on the front tire affects the force feedback.
Does this mean the higher I tune it the less ffb I will get from the rear?
Or do I have to tweak it with Steering Force Intensity too.
Let's say 50/50 to have 50% from front and 50% from rear to get 100% forces?
    I'm confused now.

The way I understand it, it that the number for vertical/lateral forces does refer to the percentage from the front tyres. I may be wrong and it is confusing at the moment. It is independent from steering forces though. As a rule I prefer vert 70 and lat 40. Gives me a feeling of weight on the front end when turning and in high downforce situations. Steering rack 100. What wheel are you using?

10% lateral force at 100% steering force

    is the same as

100% lateral force at 10% steering force

Wow. Now I am confused!! Good job I arrived at my preferred settings via trial and error rather than actually thinking about it then....
