Hey there, as the multi-purpose-switches on the Fanatec Formula V2 are now fully supported I tried to get up with the traction control - up to now I had them on defaults... So 2 questions came up: - start setting After start of R3E setting one is active. Can I achieve that the TC setting corresponds to my MPS position or is the workaround a movement of the MPS? - percentage How can I interpret the percentage value? I know that 0% is completely off and 100% is permanent on...but what does the percentage mean ? As 0% sis off it cannot be the amount of allowed wheelspin. Is it then the amount how much motor power is reduced if a wheel spins? regards Sven
Regarding TC position, each position is effectively just a button press....so if there is no press there is no way the sim can know what position you are in. As you say a quick back and forward of the switch when getting in the car will make sure you are on the "correct" setting. Setting is preserved between practice, qualy, race so you should only need to do this once.
Hey Ravey, perfect, a quick back-and-forth is abolutely okay for me. Any hints on the percentage value ? S.
The % is how intrusive the factory TC is. At 100% it will intevene at the slightest difference in wheel rotation speed and in an aggressive way by cutting power to the wheel losing grip. at 5% the intervention is less marked but it is always on. It will cut power less often and for less time. Same for ABS on sims where that has different stages. If you use a keyboard or digital input for throttle, you will need a higher TC setting, especially on cars with higher power / lower mechanical grip.
Hey Vale, thanks for the explanation. So the percentage is not the amount of wheelspin. that helps me a lot and I will try a bit around. Are there any indications for an active TC except the sound? Regards S.
Hey Alex, thanks for the details from first hand. I will start and play a bit around with the settings. Regards S.
