cpu vs gpu usage in vr

help please, i received my valve index and tried it with steam open vr, i am on i7 8700 and 1080ti. The selected hz of the vr is 120hz, the problem is that also with medium settings when racing my gpu is not used at all and works only the cpu(is overloaded).I controll the process through open vr. Any tip is welcomed. when playing without vr all works well and the gpu works well.

 

Please disable shadows and set the reflections on lowest setting.
Does it work now for you?

If not, is it possible to use the index with 60 FPS in reprojection mode?

 

i tried also the lowest possible settings but nothing, the valve has 80,90,120 and 144 hz

With your System it should be possible to get 90 FPS with the posted settings.
