Yes,yes,my wheel broke down, the inbuilt power supply (T300RS) was defective and suddenly smells burnt after 2 years.Seems to be a most common defect! So i decided to buy Thrustmaster TS-PC-Racer for a good price. It has the nice GT-Wheel style. So,i tryed it yesterday...In the TS-Driver the standard settings for that wheel is 360 degree and 60% FFB strength... In my old T300 i put it to 900 degree and about 75% FFB. Anyone who has that wheel and can give me some Tips?I have my Alcantara wheel in the box, wich i used before. Many Thanx DC
Is it not more a T500?I never had that wheel. Was is belt driven? As there is a profile in RaceRoom i use it,but i had to adjust the pedals, wich were not recognized, wonder why... DC
All TM wheels are belt driven. They all operate in the same way from the same inputs/ffb signal but some are stronger than others. As I said, use the same values as you used on the t300 and work from there. You will need change them on a blank/default profile for your tspc as the device ID etc will be different from your t300 profile. Or you can try my thrust master settings that are on the ffb thread
Ok,i think i used your settings on my broken T300.Or i do a search an will hopefully find them. Thanx DC
TM software 100 100 0 100 In Game FFB Intensity 100 smoothing 5 spring 0 damper 50 steering force intensity 75 minimum force 10 understeer 20 vert load 70 lateral force 44 steering rack 50 slip effect 50 engine 0 kerbs 100 shift effect 0 collision effect 50
If it feels to strong lower the steering force intensity setting (or adjust the multiplier on a car by car basis in car setup)
Kerbs 100 wow that sounds intense. I found TS-PC settings long time ago in this or Race Department forums. I can post mine when I get back home. edit: And of course I forgot to do this yesterday, trying again tonight
Ok here we go sorry for the delay. Max forces in Thrustmaster settings 0 spring/damper and full 1080 degrees. FFB Intensity 55 smoothing 0 spring 0 damper 0 steering force intensity 60 minimum force 3 understeer 50 vert load 20 lateral force 35 steering rack 40 slip effect 40 engine 0 kerbs 10 shift effect 25 collision effect 100 I have actually no idea why I have set "shift effect" to 25%. Probably gonna try with 0% from now on.
You should set everything apart from spring to 100 in thustmaster software....they are not used unless you also add the value in game. Try then using some damper in game, it helps give a little natural weight to the steering. 20 would be a good start.
Oh and collision effect is just a stop effect that sways the steering one way then another. I actually have it on zero now.
Which also applies to spring, so you can freely keep that one on default as well and help getting rid of that annoying myth that spring and damper somehow affect your FFB even if the game is not using them
Well, technically, even Raceroom uses spring - there's a spring slider in the FFB settings. If you set spring at 0 in the wheel's control panel, that slider will obviously do nothing, no matter how you set it. Granted, most people probably don't use that setting anyway, but still. (Though I sometimes did add a bit of spring to my FFB setup in Raceroom tbh.)
Good advice for realism. I find it that in RaceRoom I can catch slides easier without using the dampening.
I have a TS-PC-Racer and a T300, I use Georg Ortner,s settings for both. I never changed a thing, I liked them from the get go. You can find them in the description, below any of his youtube videos.
