Anybody else have problems with the contrast in some light areas it’s too bright and some dark areas too dark?

Yep. I solved it by disabling hdr and adjusting the colour space of my tv.

What I am waiting for now, is the possibility for custom liveries on the dlc cars. I need to drive the 2007 Focus with the original Marcus Grönholm livery.

How does the actual driving, ffb etc compare to the first dirt rally? Tempted now the price has come down a lump.

Also, do controller profiles save properly? On dirt rally I lose my bindings everytime I start the game, it's a known issue that never got fixed apparently.

Controller bindings, which were constantly resetting in DR1, is working like a charm in DR 2. For me, at least.

The actual driving I think is similar, the ffb is different. At first it was catastrophic, buy now after a few patches I think it's good. So it's worth a shot imo.

Yes, controller settings get saved, and you can have multiple devices active at the same time, like shifters and hand brakes on both sides! :)
And I like it, the ffb might have been a bit better in DR1 but not far of in DR2.0, and I think the cars have more weight to them, and also like the feeling of the braking.

    First look at Greece:

Some stages in Greece are terrifying in VR, especially with Group B. Very easy to fall into the deep.

You have to edit the hardware config file, easy to find. I don't have the specifics at hand right now, but a quick google search should provide the answer.

It's a matter of personal opinion, but at the moment I'd go with Dirt Rally 2. It is available on Steam, meanwhile WRC 8 is Epic Store-exclusive for a year. DR2.0 has official World Rallycross cars and tracks, but doesn't have any current official WRC cars and locations as far as I know (but it has a wide selection of historic rally machinery). And regarding physics, I'd say neither of them is a "full-blown" sim, but I think DR2.0's physics are slightly more polished/mature, but as I said, it's completely subjective. Oh and unfortunately, WRC 8 has no VR support.

To add on @Balrog's feedback also WRC8 has unfortunately no telemetry support for e.g. motion platform and simhub. The tracks of WRC8 look more realistic/live like (also personal). But without the previous mentioned support it feels 'dull' if you're used to rumble and motion.
Ffb/physics are different and both have their pros and cons.

WRC8 has a 'real' career mode with some RPG like development tree.

The Co-Pilot sounds a little "unnatural" in my ears....anyway i plan to check it out. Does it have Track IR support?
