I'm not sure if anybody did that before, so I decided to share what I tried out yesterday. The idea was to merge two replays of two different drivers to see in what sector or corner the speeds and lines differ. I've seen that on some F1 race broadcasts and was wondering how to merge and synchronise the given footage... And as a friend of mine did a lap around Zandvoort GP in leaderboard and I managed to beat his time just 0.002 seconds quicker, I felt curious to compare those laps! All I needed was his replay-file wich is located in the mydocuments/simbin replay folder. Copied that file into my own replays folder (renaming it since my alltimebest-file had the same name) and was able to load his replay in the game! Then I captured both laps and merged them together using vegas pro. I first tried using TV cam but that view keeps the cars exactly centered in the middle of the screen, so it's not possible to judge, which car's leading, because both vehicles stay on top of each other, while both backgrounds shift - very distracting... So the only way to go was the static cam. It worked pretty well and you can clearly see, that he was faster througout the whole lap but unfortunately threw it away in the last corner when he came onto the grass.
