Ok maybe wrong Expression - not a native speaker. When you use rfactor 2 with steam VR afaik you have no option to change how big things are rendered in your headset. The command to adjust scale does not change - at least in my case - everything is simply too small rendered on my rift. The scale setting ingame adjust more sort of how compressed the image in 3D looks - if you know what I mean. If someone has a hint, how you can change this, that would be very welcomed

No, I understand what you mean, and it works for me, even though I'm using SteamVR.:D If I press the "increase/decrease world scale" buttons long enough, I feel like a dwarf or a giant compared to the world objects.:)

Ok...beta ui out, several news on the roadmap. Audi R8 '19 for free for owners of the former one, Monaco GP and several stuff. Looks good. Design of the new ui is amazing.

But rFactor has always been like this from the beginning: using it for the graphics is like watching porn for the plot... (Although these metallic liveries look particularly bad in this engine, that's for sure)

? How to interpret? Laserscanned data for building tracks is no standard? :)
Unfortunately yes. It makes a difference, and Monaco is for sure the best out there as Le Mans, Sebring or and especially Nordschleife.
Graphics aren't bad in rF2 anymore. It's not Madness nor Unreal (luckily) but delivers a clear picture and some nice effects now. And it's not the end of the visual development.

@fireballr18, this was just a comment to the quote about gamecube graphics.
I agree. With the change to dx11 rf2 has achieved a nice visual standard.

I find that cars are too matte. They all need a polishing to get glance.
Don't know why, but it looks odd to me.

The look of the new added tracks like Nordschleife, Sebring, LeMans and Monaco is really amazing.

But the car's are missing some reflections, specially when you drive at night, they are looking like they were created with Microsoft paint. Also the rain looks like a joke.

Daytime it's not that bad, but still a little bit too matte.

I hope whenever raceroom makes a change it doesn't end up looking like this, because the car reflections are pretty nice in R3E.

ACC does the best job with carpaint reflections and lightning, that's the biggest strength of the unreal engine.

So, I bought all the content I was interested in: Endurance Pack, Porsche CUP and M2CS.

I like it more than in RRE. But GT3 in RRE is head higher. Porsche CUP are very similar. I think that's a good sign.

Sebring/Le Mans/N-Ring are wonderful. For those who doubt it, be sure to try the RF2. I've done it since the 2nd time. The first time I literally spit from everything. I think it's an old simracer syndrome that's used to something alone.

Now I think the graphics in RRE are worse than in RF2. In fact, everyone is good at something and now there are three of my favorites:

    1. RRE(DTM, WTCR, Classic CUP, Group 4. Everything else is a little less, but at a high level of sympathy)
    2. RF2(GTE on first place, but other nice too)
    3. ACC (Only Bentley)

S397 just released the february roadmap update. The usual development and content updates, improvements on broadcast overlay and Portland coming as free content and learning base for modders. Yeah, I know, I skipped the competition part. Not an alien so... Damn, I hate aliens xD
