So it appears iRansom is full of cheats, well there's a surprise, not. Apparently certain exploits have been found by certain unscrupulous people, then sold to a lot of the top teams to use at will. iRansom have known this but have kept it quiet to save face, well shocked I'm not, as real teams (Ferrari for one) have been cheating for as long as cheating has made a difference. The complete lack of sport in the top echelons of Motorsport taints everyone who loves the sport, as well as leaving a sour taste. Guess this is what happens when real racing teams get involved in Sim racing, they lower it to their level. Do hope the names of these teams is made known, if only so we can all point and tut our disapproval, what a bunch of low life's!
That looks like fun, and I wish iRacing was more cost-effective to try this stuff. I was hoping AMS2 would embrace a bit more of that kind of thing - Their physics engine feels like it would do a great job of it.
The Pro 2 Lite truck is included content btw... And has a race series too that uses included tracks... So you just need the sub...
Now that I have a little bit more time to spare, I am enjoying iRacing online system and racing against other people. Sadly, I am not a fan of their car driving feel. It's more like flat and lifeless at times. Cant have everything I guess. Raceroom driving experience is brilliant..but..... sadly there are only a few populated servers with no favorite tracks.
This reflects my view almost exactly. I dip in and out of iracing and the online system is great but like you I just don't enjoy the feel of the cars, where as in RR I can actually believe I am driving a race car. Hopefully once the ranked system gets fleshed out further we can attract some more players.
For some reason, iRacing FFB can be really good at times and suddenly all dead and quiet with a tiny hardly noticeable bump here and there. By increasing FFB strength things can become a lot more aggressive but also tighter without proper balance.Turning corners feels way too smooth and touching grass or the gravel is an absolute crap on ice. I wish if iR had engine vibrations in order to cover some dead space. For example, in RR driving on straights with minimal or no bumps is lifeless too but at least RR engine vibe comes handy for that matter. It's all subjective of course as some racers prefer all quiet. As far as I am concerned, I prefer action and as you said believing I am driving a race car. EDIT: Automobilista 2 currently have an amazing road feel
Kutu known for his iRacing apps plays iR with PS4 pad since a couple weeks ^^ https://clips.twitch.tv/LightSingleSnakeOpieOP
Playing sim racing titles with controllers or keyboards is beyond my imagination. And if they are good at it, I find it amazing but pointless.
