Dashcam view or Dashboard view ? Note: my wheel is not right in front of the screen but below. Thanks for your advices.
Use whichever view you find more comfortable. I'm not really sure what other answers you're expecting, since it doesn't matter what everyone else is doing. It's all about what works for you personally.
I like to setup my screen/view so it's as close to real world scale and position as possible but it's an each to their own thing. Whatever you feel is right, is right. Exactly what you choose to display will also depend on where exactly your screen is in relation to your wheel etc.
