Actually, the Scirocco fighted with many cars along its ETCC-DRM career, and no less than three BMW models entered the Gr.2 grids : 320i , 530i, 3.0 CSL.
Among the others competitors, we could find the Alfa Romeo Alfetta GT, Alfa Romeo Alfasud Sprint, Ford Escort RS, Skoda 130 RS, Audi 80 GTE, Jaguar XJ 12C, Mercedes 450 SLC, Mazda RX3, etc...
What a nice era !

Great era for cars, just as it was a great era for music but that's about all, fashion was atrocious! Didn't someone put a piccy of a nice, blue Group 2 Capri at some point?

The 635CSi also raced in the final two seasons of Gp2. Also note the 320i ran in both 4-cyl & 6-cyl iterations.

Yes, and i *might* have mentioned this before, but i really would love to see 3.0 CSL in game at some day. You decide the group, 2 or 5, i'm in anyway. :D:D

I don't care about FWD cars at all, but i bought Scirocco anyway because it's historic car and i must admit it is actually quite fun to drive. And it does sound gorgeous.

When an Scirocco locks brakes, the marks on the asphalt are not drawn instantly. A small interval of time elapses and the two black marks are drawn after the car has already moved away.

I was about to say that and we even mentioned it internally this morning.
If we could add the fenders to the current 635 Gr.A, it would make a nice buddy for the Scirocco ;)

Is AI affected by tyre temps?

    Example:
At Anderstorp/Scandinavian Raceway short, you cook your left front no matter what, when pushing. (already counteracted by pressure, suspension, throttle management, steering and camber etc.)

The Scirocco falls into a little deep after around 18 minutes on such a track and AI is just rocketshipping away out of left corners especially.

I could decrease AI strength (was at 110), but i don't want to qualify pole all the time...That's why i thought about it.

As I expected, this is a nice toy to whip it around the Swedish rumble trails.

It's got all the latest suspension modelling going on so I guess it is what it is. I can't say I've noticed any issues with it to be honest.

Like Koly, this car still feels weird to me. Plus it can't be that the rear tires stay under 40 degrees Celsius throughout a whole race. In fact, this applies to most other FWD cars in the game. Surely there must be a fix to this?

Also, it would be nice to have more Group 2 cars. The Alfasud, the Audi 80 GTE... this would make the class much more appealing (same with DTM 1995 and in a way, Group C). Anything planned in the future?

There isn't much load goes through the rear tyres of a FWD car so they don't heat up. It's correct.

Planned? Yes, plenty for sure. When? Hard to say as the current series and partnerships usually have a priority ;)

True, but mid 30s is rather a bit too cold...

So, in other words, we can expect 2021 versions of ADAC, DTM, WTCR, and more cars added to GTE...? ;)

Alex gets his data from teams and tyre manufacturers so I'm sure they are in the right window. Also, if you heat the rear tyres you get more rear grip, which will jut move the grip balance backwards and you'll end up with chronic understeer. The driving style for a FWD car is to deal with the front end and let the rear follow or slide as needed. You really don't want a lot of grip back there.

I'm not very thrilled about more GT3-/TC-seasons with equal cars.
And GTE is almost dead, last spasms in WEC with Porsche and Ferrari. IMSA burried GTE, switched to GTD (surprise surprise is GT3). Probably no more new supplements in RR, Sector3, please proof me wrong. RSR imo is the most clumsy choice of Porsche in RR.

What else to do with 9284 VRPs in my RR-piggybank?

Complete GT2, GT4, for my sake GT3, too, all those classic classes (DTM, GTO, Gr2/4/5) with missing models, try to implement hybrid cars, current prototypes (LMP2/3, Praga).
The track list is big, but I miss great names.
Get a new engine (9284 VRPs seem to be a bit short).

    And I'm yours.
@J-F Chardon, please, can you hear me, do you read this?
