My Nephew Sam is 3 and a half years old. He has been fighting a brain tumour since he was 17 months old. He has just received another surgery to remove the tumour that has regrown. He has had chemotherapy but that is no longer an option second time around. So the next step will be a form of radiation treatment to the brain to try and kill off any remaining tumour and cells. We wish for Sam to have a form of radiation treatment called Proton Therapy which targets the tumour and spares the surrounding area and brain tissue causing less damage to his brain and side effects. We have to raise £150,000 in weeks. We have set up a Just Giving page, any small donation will help Sam get the treatment he badly needs. Sam is a big fan of motor sport I'm sure Sam will be a future racing driver https://www.justgiving.com/Marie-Olley/ A big Thank You
Best wishes to Sam. Having survived a brain tumor myself, it's a lot to go through and I cannot imagine having a child with one.
Wish you all the best, my x's son survived a 'choriod plexus' tumor, after 2 operations and years of treatment. Diagnosed at 18months it was very scary, and tough, there is hope man, good luck with the collection. Gee whizz Dave.... How long ago was that?
Hey @Qlimaxmau5 hope all is good. I saw the charity page is no longer available (it says you can no longer make donations as it has been cancelled by Marie Olley?). Is that good news or bad news?
Hi ::SKRO:: Everything is all good, we had to put the Justgiving page on hold at the moment due to some little complications, the surgeons found something in the tumor that is a bit strange, but our UK surgeons have never seen it before, so they sent the scans to america, and see if they can help. So we are waiting further news if my nephew can proceed the proton treatment. on the other hand, my nephew is fine, He is happy as ever playing with his cars and trucks. Thank you for the concern mate
Hey man. Thanks for the update. Sorry if I bothered you at this time. I'm constantly checking the page to see how the donations are going so I was curious and I though something "nice" might have happened. Well I hope all will turn for the good. Keeping your nephew in prayers. Cheers man and be strong for him.
Thank you buddy, I appreciate your concern for Sam and the family and i will keep you posted on the the current development.
