Why are these options not in main graphics menu? Instead we need to 'hack'

Default shader is crap in my opinion, don't know why these settings are not more accessible.

The shaders aren't in the menus because they're not a feature of the sim. It was something they experimented with in the early days and then abandoned. Put an unsupported, undeveloped feature in a game and people will ask questions and expect support on it. Leave an abandoned feature in the files and it can be used at a person's own risk with no obligations.

Also, changing file names is hardly a "hack", nor is it difficult or time consuming to do. I think the default shader is fine and the other three are crap, personally.

    Wow, fanboy getting defensive!

Nobody said it was difficult to do, just not accessible. How many viewing this video did not know about the 'hack' available? It's not just about you fanboy! Yes, we all have our opinions regarding the default shader (crap) that is why the ability to change it should be easily accessible.

You are misleading with the word hack. It was a feature tested but not completely implemented and there are a few discussions about this. So as already said it's a possibility to use going into the files. Like with every other sim where not all options are available in the GUI.

Your answer is the typical social media "nobody knows me" speech. Maybe you are defensive because not all are supporting your opinion.
Why should the default shader be "crap" maybe it's about personal preferences or your monitor has another calibration than others.

Fanboy starting to catch on. Yes the shaders are personal preference, so they should be made easily accessible instead of requiring users to 'hack' the game.

Just use reshade to customize saturation / exposure / contrast / colour balance to you preference.
It's super easy and way more advanced than hacking any game files.
