Discontinued OtterHud - A custom WebHud

Anyone have no radar anymore? Can't get it to show even with the test all apps widget. Also can we get the old font back? This doesn't look good imo

Your fix for the blank display worked fine but for some reason the new version of Otterhud is making my game run very poorly. I have tested with and without the paramater in steam. With teh parameter in place it loads very very slowly, the menus take 10 seconds to respond to mouse clicks and the game will crash. It behaves normally without the parameter. If i get a MP race up and running the HUD does work though! This issue wasnt present with the previous version of Otterhud. Not sure if others have reported similar issues?
[edit] - A restart of CrewChief seems to have fixed this.

The Radar should show on the bottom in the middle, left side of the G-Force Widget
It will only show Cars that are on the same part of the Track as you,
Means if your in the Pi-Lane, it would not show Cars next to you on Track, only the ones next to you in Pits.
By default it does not show Cars ahead, as it is not really needed, but you can toggle "Warn front" in the settings to show them also.

And that Font on the Gear really doesn't look right, it should look like this:

I took every single step as listed there and my hud is up and running. Seems not to be the instructions fault

 

Good News: I found the issue why the HUD went blank in some cases!

The new version should have deleted the stored settings for all the 3Layouts, due to incompatibility with the new settings added
But some weird person, cough cough, manipulated my code by a "#" in the deletion code for the Layout2
So it got stuck comparing a valid to a nonvalid pair of stored setting values
Long story short, it will not happen again, after later this Evening

To avoid going blank in a Race this afternoon:
Only use Layout1 !
- No Joke -

 

Yea i know how the radar works, what i'm saying is that it doesn't show up anymore at all. Where is the default placement of it? Cause i can't see it anymore after the update. I used to have it in the middle, but even with enabling all widgets (the test thing that makes it flash and stuff) the radar doesn't show up.

What font does the gear use? Cause maybe i have to have it installed on my PC or something.

 

Here you can see the default position on the bottom middle

It's called "EurasiaEx" and should get loaded trough the Stylesheet.

 

Fixed for me installing the Font EurasiaEx manually.

I had the same issue with Motec widget.

Btw, impressive work on this update. Thank you for such an amazing HUD

 

I would like to help with Spanish translation if you don't mind or the translation is already been made..

 

Weird it should load automatic without the need to install, will check again.

For now we have: English, German, Portuguese 100% covered
French is missing some Love as my French was only from School and that is, erm yeah, LONG long extra long time ago.

Happy to implement another Language!

 

Found the issue with the wrong Font showing for Gear on Motec and the Race-Info messages.
Will be addressed with the update later!

 

There will also be a Surprise then, after the update, when you watch a Replay next time!

 

I'm afraid I can't help you out with French, xD but count on me if you want to deploy the Spanish in the near future.

 

hello I have installed the new version, started everything but, I wanted to try layout 2 and as soon as I clicked the layout button 2 the hud is divided from the screen and nothing appears anymore I did several tests but nothing I do not see anything anymore during the time the game

Eine Anregung hätte ich, viele Spieler nutzen 3 Monitore, gibt es eine Möglichkeit die Anzeige auf die Monitore aufzuteilen.

There is currently a issue with restoring Layout2 Settings, that is where the HUD get stuck.
You can wait until tomorrow and it fixes itself or you can delete the "leveldb" Folder in this location:
Documents\My Games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience\BrowserData\Cache\Local Storage\

The Game needs to be closed to do so!

Zum Triple problem:
Sector 3 erstellt den WebFrame, den ich mit dem HUD "befüllen" kann leider nur auf dem Hauptmonitor, also dem mittleren.
Da kann ich leider nichts machen
