Why are some drivers posting qualifying times in multiplayer and some drivers do not, up at the top of the monitor? I assume the way it should work is a driver leaves the pit in the qualifying round of a race and go's around to the start/finish line to start the clock. Then go's back around the track to the start/ finish line to stop/post a time at the top of the monitor/an restarts the clock again. If the time is faster, it should be updated at the top of the monitor, right? Watching the red ants on my track map some drivers do not post times when they go back across the start/finish line, why? Shouldn't all drivers post times at the top of the monitor in the qualifying round of the race?

If their lap was invalidated for whatever reason, no time gets posted.

Could you get an invalid lap for being to slow on the track?

No, but for track limits for example.
