Hello! Please note this is only happening with RaceRoom multiplayer servers & single player races - No other sim or game. iRacing, ACC, AC all work fine. I am having trouble connecting to any multiplayer servers (i have tried multiple servers) and single player races. Sometimes i am stuck in the loading screen after selecting and confirming my car choice (15mins at some points), sometimes after 15 seconds i see "press any button to continue" followed by a black screen. Twice, i have been put into the server menu (Image attached) but this completely freezes my display and i cannot press on anything on the game. I have; (in no particular order) Uninstalled & reinstalled game - Cleared Cache and GPU Cache folders - Disabled AntiVirus / Uninstalled Antivirus - Added exception to / disabled firewall - Validated files via Steam - Factory reset Router - Used VPN - Attempted with Wheel plugged/unplugged - Task manager - Details tab - RRRE64.EXE NOT RESPONDING - Disabled Replay recordings - Double checked internet speeds - PC Specs; AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Aorus B550 Elitev2 GSkill RipJaws 32GB 3000mhz (4x8gb) RTX2060Super FE 1Tb Samsung M.2 SSD 2Tb Samsung Evo SSD game drive.
Windows 10 home, latest update i believe (will double check after work) this is for both game and Windows.
VPN was tried, but didn't work @Andi Goodwin The latest windows update is giving people problems, currently no workaround has been found except reinstalling windows and even then it still only works on every second launch. Has been reported to the devs
Something worth a shot is removing a specific update using these steps: https://www.windowslatest.com/2021/04/23/how-to-uninstall-windows-10-updates-manually/ Find this specific update: KB5001330 and uninstall it
hello ! maybe your firewall on your box , it happened same to me and with discord voice channel too i fix it like this.
Okay guys, i have tried all of these things and made some minor progress. The issue now (after windows reinstall and other lengthy solutions) is the game freezes randomly in menus or in game after around 2-4 mins of loading. I can now connect to the server, however the game will freeze everytime.
Okay guys, ive found a solution! The unable to join online servers was in fact a windows issue, which was resolved with a fresh install and update to 21H1 And the game freezes is in fact a bug i have found.. New post to follow Thanks all
