Everything was working fine then I changed some ffb and steering settings and now the game loads but when I click on drive it comes up with crash error. I've attached to crash dump thank you
Ffb mainly then steering settings in the advanced tab. Things like double shift protection, speed sensitive mi steering and max steering, steering sensitivity. The rest were ffb settings.
Any chance you can be more specific , Did you change the ffb in game , did you manually alter the rcs file Have any updates hapened , drivers, windows Andi
I didn't touch any rcs files, it was all in game. Also just tried again and in the main menu when I click on options cog I just get a black screen. I changed just about every ffb setting there was as I was trying out someone else's settings. Also when I load into the car and track, there is yellow writing on screen but it goes off quick and I can only catch fov
If your using a webmenu or any other start arguement remove them and try If it doesnt work then try this Try a clean start , just to see if the game loads Go to documents/my games/simbin / Create a new folder and drop the race room folder in there Restart the game Follow any prompts Does it load If yes, reset your graphics options Leave game Reload , does it load ? Rebind pedals , wheel controller etc Try a car , does it crash ? If not , come out of game Restart game and see if it all works Andi
Ok will try all this and get back to you. Also just before I changed the settings I clicked on challenge on the leader board then after that it's all gone wonky
Ok, I think we're getting somewhere. I had to follow the instructions in bold and the first solution didn't work. Game started but only in single screen and I was able to so a lap and all good. If I add the -webmenu back now to sort out my triples, hopefully that will work.
Ok update, I put the custom file from last night back in and guess what happened?????? yes it crashed so I think somehow, that file got corrupted so we're getting there!!
Happy days! we're all sorted again @Andi Goodwin looks like a corrupt profile was causing the issue. Anyway thank you for taking the time to help me this morning, very much appreciated.
