I am experiencing massive amounts of shutter and lag when i am using otterhud. This is since the Sunday hotfix. Apparently there were some changes with the webhud API encrypting that may cause this. Any chance this is going to be resolved or reversed again? Otterhud is essential for me and for many others, and from what I read, I am not the only one with shutters and lags since Sunday.
Yes, it doesn't change much. That I can pin-point when exactly that issues started to happen (sunday after the hotfix) tells me, they did something that compromised the performance of otterhud. I even talked about it to Otter himself and he confirmed they changed something in the webhud API that makes it extremely difficult for him.
After a bit of more testing and fiddling. I can say it may actually not be webhud that makes my game lag and shutter like crazy. Something major was done to the performance of the game. Almost doesnt matter what graphic settings i use, even on ultra-low 55fps is unacceptable when it was working just fine before the last hotfix.
I didn't launch otterhud with my game last night and whilst I missed it greatly, I felt it no longer stuttered whilst driving.
Seems,i have the same problem.I hope it will be fixed soon(tm). What did they change.I noticed it @Nürburg GP in some corners- micro stutters.Never noticed it before.
Jepp, Microstutters on Spa with DTM20 after the chicane behind Kemmel Straight (not knowing the name) at every lap. FPS where around 130 at that time.
@OtterNas3 Yep,reinstalled the complete game to make sure.FFB is fine now. Tested GFX settings mid to high,nothing helps.Now it seems the web hud overlays are to demanding on the CPU...sad...sad.Could be something with sector times,it stutters 3 times mostly in curves @ Nürburg GP. Without web overlays everything is fine in high GFX settings.See my PC specs. Hope there will be a solution.
So i got some time to test more with otter hud. Cars : Group C @ Nürburg GP I think some cars are more demanding on the CPU/GPU as other. DTM 2014 is "easyer" as the Group C in that case.Anyway,what i found out: I have everyhing on High also mirror quality.4x AA +FXAA! And V-sync in game. Turn off Motion Blur Turn off Deep of Field So i got a good result with no lags or stutters. Please test this Happy weekend
i'm also getting sound crackles and pops, no idea if this is anything to do with otterhud or not as i don't use the default
