drive through penalty

Hi All
I have been last in the qualifying (on purpose) and watched all the chaos in the first turn. I drive through the traffic jam, win five positions, didnt touch anybody and get a drive through penalty.
Anyone knows why?

Honestlly, there was no reason at all. The cars in front of me crashed, but quiet far away from me.
????

 

In sp / in mp , was this a ranked server a private server ?
Were the flag/penalty rules set that way ,
Crash
Yellow flag
You overtook under yellow
Drive through

False start, massive cut, speeding in pit, ignoring slow down penalty. Need more info

 

thanks Andi, it might have been the yellow flag overtaking thing.
Its the only thing that could be possible. Cheers mate, i take care next time.

 

You should make sure you can see yellow flags in your HUD.

 

Is there even yellow flag overtaking detected in the game? If it was on ranked server, it couldn't be that, because flags are visual only there, so you can't get any flag related penalty.

Im agreeing with PanVik, Ive never had a drive through penalty when passing cars in ranked racing. Something else had to happen to ya my friend.

 

You are right. In these races flags are visual only.
But then i have no idea what it was. I was at the back of the pack, watching whats going to happen in the first corner. no idea at all.

 

Do you have the saved replay of the race?
Are you using a custom HUD?
Is there a chance you jumped the start, cut the track or sped in the pitlane?

 

The replay might be a good idea
