Both layouts are amazing, love them, great job and thank you for these awesome tracks! To help replicate the bug I was using WTCR 2021, driving a Lada, no quali and straight into a sprint race ten laps. These are the settings for both Donnington layouts. I start in 12th place on the grid. There is one AI car that speeds out into the distance / the lead of the race, miles faster than any other AI on track, BUT that run away AI car is not recognised in game on the boards or by crew chief either. I’ll be in first place according to the game and crew chief, but there is still this one AI car miles out in the distance. This rogue AI I can catch, I can crash into, door bang with but it’s simply not recognised by anything, it’s a rogue streaker AI. I’ve let that AI beat me and Ive also beaten it and no software is aware it’s there, only me. I finish the race in 1st place no matter if I finish behind or in front of this unregistered AI. Many thanks
Apologies it was 23 AI cars not 21. I’ve just tested Tatuus F4, 100% AI, 23 AI cars, starting 12th, both layouts and exact same AI bug.
Someone had a bug in multiplayer, one of the drivers appeared to be one lap behind all the others. Could it be the same here, and your "rogue" car wasn't in the lead but was in the last place instead?
This happens very frequently on many track and car combinations, not just Donington or WTCR. It's astonishing the beta testers are not able to reproduce it.
That's a different thing entirely. You talk of the situation where one AI car gets away from the pack. We are aware of it and work is ongoing to mitigate it. This bug which is specific to Donington, and is as a result of a file mismatch in the final build, involves the car on pole being put a lap behind and given excess speed at the start of the race. It has been identified and a fix is in progress. This bug was not present in any of the numerous beta builds we worked on before release. Shit happens sometimes.
I haven't purchased this track yet. Has this issue been fixed yet? The changelog for Donington in today's update only shows "flickering white line" & "cameras".
I think he was rather referring to this part Fixed an issue where the pole position at Donington would suffer a timing issue during a standing start But as long as all works now who cares which point in the change log adressed the issue
