I've been getting the same error as well, was able to purchase and update but haven't been able to race. I get this error every now and then but this week its been the worst. Be nice if you guys could add an offline option.
Me, too. Just bought some stuff yesterday and could race without any problems. Now I wanted to do some racing today but after the initial screen I have to login again with my account informations, but even can't submit the login data without getting instantly this "Error 503". The only option then is to return to the desktop. Attached you find the launcher.log from today. Edit: After restarting Steam I could join into R3E again and do a short training. But everything in the menus reacted very slow and as soon as I left the training session to change something I git again the "Error503" and had to go back to the desktop. So maybe there is some kind of timeout on behalf of your or the Steam systems?
Mysteriously: late in the evening today I could just run R3E without any problems (I didn't change anything at all) and had no errors, but the menus react still very slowly.
Gotta say, I'm starting to get really fed up with it. The fact that the game has improved so much recently just makes it even more annoying when we can't play it
Grrr indeed ! I get the evening to myself so, start a championship I say. Computer say no, no, no, and no again. Let us play offline. I have no wish to use multiplayer and yet my hands are tied to flakey servers. Not a happy bunny. Gotta say tho I am enjoying the new content. (see cant stay mad at you long). But fix the log in issues. PLEASE. Sean
yep im getting a 503 error logging in after a LONG time not playing the game. I'm keen to look at the new features etc... I'm assuming this is a server side error?
Yes... I'm reluctantly drifting into the "let us play offline" camp too... constant failure to load a car that could easily be stored on my system is very frustrating... and as Mr B says this is SUCH A GOOD GAME that not being able to play it is disappointing... I did however successfully launch Jeb Kerman on a successful sub-orbital flight and recovery last night which gave me a surprising amount of satisfaction!! (Kerbal Space Program if you are wondering!)
