Never really bothered with a proper setup...this gets the job done plus I don't want to dedicate my PC to racing sims only.

Lots of cool stuff here. I'm a little jealous.
So This my rig, This is racing on a budget. I live in a small house with wife, kids and animals. So there is no room for a permanent setup. I've mounted the G27 wheel and stick shift to a small folding table that I can store between our desk and cabinet. the screen is our 46 inch tv. So I'm set up in the living room, and I only run one screen when I'm racing.
I'm running an Acer laptop quad core that runs at 2.3 GHZ with a turbo to 3.2 GHZ. the GPU only runs a 685 MHZ. So it just meets the minimum requirements for R3E. Thank you S3 for keeping this sim available to lower end systems. When I'm playing this sim the turbo has a tendency to overheat and the computer shuts down. So I built a bracket to lift it off the table and bought a desk fan to help keep it cool. It's not high tech but it works. The table is so light that the FFB tended to move it around, so I use a couple of my weights to stablize it. My seat is an old office chair with worn out casters and appolstery. I use a beach blanket to make it more comfortable.

Hi guys, here's some pictures of my toys.
I was super lucky one day and found some 45 series (1 3/4" thick walled t-slot aluminium) 8020 on Craigslist and after selling a seat that came with it I ended up paying only $50 for the material! :) Sweet huh?

Fortunately hubby is able to weld me anything I need so he's made some special brackets for mounting my button boxes, SimVibe amp, shifters and supports that made my wheel deck very rigid. I even have a cool "holster" now (not pictured) that I can swap between my gate shifter and DSD sequential which are each mounted on separate post now.
Since I have a tendency to change my mind (a woman's prerogative hehe) the 8020 has come in handy as it's easy to move things around.

I'm a little short on space (which is probably a good thing) but we managed to design something with a smallish footprint. It's packed in there though.
Picked up the Impreza seat at the local salvage yard as a wanted cloth and as a bonus it has a manual height adjustment. :) So much more comfie than the rSeat was, age possibly a factor. lol

Feel very blessed to have such nice toys and a hubby that just likes to see momma happy. :)

The button box is something I made from scratch after using the DSD Black max for a while. Wanted a custom layout and instead of labeling each button as I had in the past I made the entire faceplate a single graphic. Got a lengthy how-to article if anyone needs tips or links to supplies.

    Ok, that's it. :)
    Bailey

Testing the new version of the 2DOF simulator under Project CARS.

    controllers
    - JRK Pololu 12v12

    actuators
    - DC motors 12 V 3200 rpm coupled with 60: 1 gearboxes (torque of 36 Nm)
    - ButtKickers mini LFE (2 fronts and 2 rears)

    effects felt:
    - Acceleration / braking
    - Left / right turn
    - Passing on the grass / gravel
    - Passing over the curbs
    - Engine vibration

Some effects are barely noticeabled on the video but are really felt once installed in the bucket seat (engine vibration, shocks, passing over the grass, crossing curbs ...).
Some settings have still to be improved but overall I am very satisfied with the result!
