Avenga my friend! I recognized your rig! Yes, is me the same old Zonic as from the other site... LOL Welcome to Sector3 forum. Check post #30, that is my rig with the latest peripherals.
I've only had the RS1 for about a month now and so far I'm loving it. After extensive research into sim rigs, its been a worthy purchase! Using: Fanatec CSR Elites Thrustmaster TH8A - in sequential mode Thrustmaster T300rs DSD - Track boss 46" Samsung LCD
Thats some serious processing power with all those screens!! Sort of reminds me of my old flight simming days where guys had similar setups. Been tempted to go over to a triple screen setup myself, but still on the fence. I'm only running one GTX 680 and am concerned about any loss of performance running multiple monitors. (not trying to detract from the thread). All of you have some pretty sweet setups!
@faro06 & SteveO you two are crazy! Thats freakin awesome! @Mestarn would you please show me a pic of your view. Your screen is so big, its really interesting for me. Not to high? FOV?
Thanks for your infos on the RS1. I'm also interested in buying it. To me it looks very stable and solid, more than most of the rigs you can buy. Can you confirm that there is (close to) no movement within the rig when driving? This is my biggest concern... and spending about 750 EUR on it, any feedback before the purchase is greatly appreciated.
Hellow to everyone, here is my diy racing cockpit. Specs: Playseat Challenge bolted to a moving platform, with a buttkicker Gamer2 and a Creative 5.1 monted to the platform all wiring is secure under it. I have the Logitech Momo, the DFP, DFGT wheels on a spair G25 Pedals, and also a G25. Next step triple monitors and a new Computer!
Hey Thomas - The RS1 is surprisingly solid. Matter of fact my only minor concern with it is that it doesn't come with extra padding in the seat. I'm 220 lbs, so my arse tends to get a bit sore after an hour or two. I'm actually going to go find some temperpedic foam as a replacement. Other than that I've found no issues with it. It doesn't wobble whatsoever, e.g. the seat, where the wheel sits, the shifter mount etc. For its asking price, its worth it. I was also very happy with shipping, only took about a week, week and a half and was packaged very well! Considering I live in the states and it came to me via Bulgaria, I was impressed. Hope this helps! Cheers, D0K
An anecdote to help you decide...I started out with an AMD R9 270 card running triple monitors - did 720p very nicely. Now running an R9-290x for 1080p triples and doing well with high settings (not maxed). It did not hog as much power as I thought it would. My CPU is an AMD FX6300
