server is down

no, it's not normal. It happens from time to time but it was up and down yesterday and today it's been mostly down (for me). It's usually pretty reliable but (being brutally honest) not reliable enough for an 'always online' game

And yes, the lack of updates is annoying

I couldn't play the whole day. That's sad 'cause I have little free time and I wanted to spend that time today trying this sim better, since I got the DTM 92 mod wednesday.. Well at least I could play Stock Extreme.

it's given me a reason to try Dirt Rally's career mode and it's a bit of a revelation so every cloud has a silvery lining

 

And the co-driver even sounds a bit like you!

 

I'm playing like normal. No problems for me

 

I think an off line mode is required with content based on the last time you logged on - maybe a requirement to log-on every 3 days or so to stop any fraudulent activities!!

 

Aaaand now it's down for me aswell.

 

yep - down for me too - just rediculous you pay a lot for the content and then can not use it - time for an offline mode to be implemented please S3S

Terms of agreement, you accepted those. Deal with it..

 

Regardless how much one paid for the game, it is inexcusable for the game to have so many server issues. Especially for a game that charges so much for content while still always online for offline AI races.

Sorry to say that all these server issues recently along with no information about GTR3 pack, I am getting less keen to spend more money in this game. Great racing game but has a terrible business model and unnecessary always online.

Servers being down is ok for a casual fun game for some time ... If you are racing leagues with raceroom (or at least try to do so) its GREAT not being able to train!!!! Monday is league race, I hope the servers are still down then because nobody in our team could train this weekend. Thx!

 

Lol - i can deal with it, just not happy about it - ultimately it will push players to alternate oferings which is bad for S3S and that will be bad for us all - offline mode would help with that!

 

There's the difference. we're both not happy with it R3E is the only game I play, so it sucks that now I can't play it.. it's weekend ffs!

Edit: as of now, i'm able to log in and race.
