Hello. I have been driving in iracing for about a 1 year. Recently I purchased RR. I'm having a really hard time keeping car in straight line. Its so differecult to steer. The car keeps wanting to everywhere. I read and followed the ffb setup guide but it did not make any changes. Is it possible to make it less responsive and more precise.
floaty cars in rre .. no way !!!! lol only joking but yeah some of the old cars do still have this floaty/strong force pushing you left and right over the track. The newer cars do not have this flaw anymore. Out of interest what car are you having this phenemona? One thing you can do (as there isn't much) is to enable damper on your wheel then in game. That helps a bit.
Since you are listed as New Member, you probably are not much active in the forum and do not know that currently the cars are in a phase of transition from one physics model to a newer one. The new physics do not have the phenomenon that you describe, are more pointy. These are the GT3 cars, DTM2015, BMW M1, Audi TT Cup, Formula R2, and I think the Aquila and Silhouettes. Try GT3 and DTM15 and Audi TT therefore. All cars not listed above are still using the older physics, they will get the full update treatment - but later.
floaty feeling, for older cars, gets away with some speed sensitive steering,I also use a bit higher wheel sensitivity this is great!! you know this for a fact?
With the right settings it's not difficult to drive in a straight line. What wheel are you using and what settings do you have in the wheels software?
Using g27. Logitech profile set default with centering spring off and damper 0. Cars pretty any car I try I get floaty feel. Based on reviews I have read ppl say this game has better ffb and realism than iracing. But even driving front wheel cars like Honda civic or lada still floaty feel.
C:\Users\username\Documents\My Games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience\UserData\ControlSet In the file: "Logitech G27 Paddle Shift Custom" locate this line and change the default value from 1.0 to 0.5 or 0.6 FFB steer force exponent="0.5" // Steering force output "sensitivity". Remember to restart R3E if you have it running.
I want you to explain to me how it effects Raceroom and its floaty cars? it will take more than a guru to figure out rre plethora of ffb settings
so just tried the above code change,.. Whilst it offered very little change to the ffb behaviour, Like it almost tightens the swaying up a fraction. Damper is far more beneficial to the experience.
Countless? Mmm...3 maybe 4 times? How many times have you used words like "Floaty" and "Swaying"? I know.... it`s countless
