Session change BUG still exists

Your last hotfix should have fixed the session change bug in multiplayer.
After our first league race in the VRTCC we can say, well no At least not totally fixed.

We made 2 restarts of our second race and in every race we had about 3-6 disconnecting after the qualifying session. Additional there was a timing bug with the rolling start in Sonoma. You can see all those problems live in our stream.

Thank you for providing more info on the issue. We are investigating the cause of this crash and any additional info will be a huge help as we're having a hard time reproducing it.

 

If some of the players can also attach the crash dmp files along with the game log from that time period here in a post it would help us immensely.

 

Ok, ill give that Info to our drivers maby we can collect some data.

Not sure if it is related, but since I un-installed and removed every single trace of raceroom installation and did a fresh install, I never had this issue again.

So it could be due to some old residual files...

I only had this disconnect occuring twice. One time yesterday in our league race and another time in a DTM 2015 race. Never had the chat opened and Im waiting inside the pit before session change. Just for security

 

That`s a good point Stefan, maybe im trying this too!

You have the same crash as well.

Do you recall how many mp sessions you did before the crash occurred? Do you use any 3rd party software that is using overlays on top of R3E or uses R3E shared memory?

 

1. Question:
Two Sessions, Race 1 of the Event and in Race 2 some others crashed. Then I'd leaved the server and rejoined after it was restarted. In Qualify before the crash I exited with escape to the box and waited there.

2. Question:
Steam Overlay and AMD Gaming Evolved (Raptr). It could be that also Teamviewer were running in Background (I play windowed without border) But all these tools don't use the shared memory.

 

I had this crashes also after qualifying, I changed the video quality and after that never occured again

 

Seems a bit extreme, may give that a try when the next major patch is released, altho i noticed a post saying its been patched again today to fix this.
Time will tell!
