Has footage ever emerged of that Senna-esque banzai lap Maxime Martin put in on the morning after the red flag a couple of years ago?
My guess is more that she doesn't use the same tires as the others The difference is to big to be only about it's knowledge of the track (I can't believe that all the others are newbies..) Her performance can be explain if she's on wet tires when the others stayed on Slicks. She started from the back of the grid, maybe because of a last minute tire change when rain came... (Not diminishing her talent )

Everyone does know patch days typically get a bit messy, technically. I.E shit doesn't work well for a while. Hoping thats the past, but that has been the reality of them.

This waiting during maintenance mode, seems to me that it takes longer time than whole waiting for whole developing of Nordschleife. I can't wait. This will be probably first time when I wont fool anybody during 1st April. Because I spend whole day on Nordschleife
