Hi guys! I was just trying to play with the new Audi R18 TDI and it seems it has a bug with the collisions. Every time I hit our touch the wall this happens: 1. https://www.dropbox.com/s/z221e7zb3z9b6as/RRRE_2016_04_07_16_50_17_708.bmp?dl=0 2. https://www.dropbox.com/s/imr42802uy6i9ad/RRRE_2016_04_07_16_50_24_542.bmp?dl=0 3. https://www.dropbox.com/s/26wxje2u0y1qnnm/RRRE_2016_04_07_16_50_39_689.bmp?dl=0 4. https://www.dropbox.com/s/51yjubfzwp6z0c9/RRRE_2016_04_07_16_52_13_787.bmp?dl=0
Seems that you have found a way too bring 2 extra wheels with you, it mess a little bit the driver sight but it should be handy when tires wears
Can you describe how you are driving into the walls? I wasnt able to reproduce this, and rather thoroughly checked the damage model before it released...
May I ask which track you are on? It looks like Nurburgring to me. Perhaps you are actually using the Nordschleife VLN or 24 hr layout though. Since those tracks are actually separate, it would be helpful to know. Thanks
I had a spin out into the wall and have hit the car by the front side (front right side). The last image is a hit straight into the wall just for the testing purpose.
@Pr3t3nd3r What steering lock are you using and does it happen when standing still and going full lock to a side? I suspect the steerlock might be so extreme that it snaps the suspension / arms (virtually). If that is the case we'll fix !
Steer lock is set to 200. I have just tried and it happens also when I am standing still. The car flew away
200 ?? how can that be it's supposed to be locked at 20 I tried to repro here and couldn't. What controller are you using?
Are we talking about the steering wheel lock in the options under the controller settings or car specific lock settings? I can't tell you for the second one because I have only tested it on the Amateur settings in the store... EDIT: I am using MS XBOX 360 controller...
Here is the clip what happens when I steer: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2n0mvtk7c6lkxfc/RRRE_2016_04_08_15_58_35_920.avi?dl=0 It seems it's not related to the collision model but with the steering as you have presumed.
Yeah so it is the suspension arm that breaks. Do you have a custom controller profile? Can you try switching to the default one and see if you can still break the springs?
Could I convince you to capture another short clip, showing the car from the outside, front/side perspective, so we can see the wheels turn, and then apply full lock very slow. Is to judge how much lock you might be getting there.
