English ESR PUBLIC EVENTS ( Drop-in ) on week-ends

Probably 50-75 people on public servers when the race started. Can't believe more people don't like the F4 cars.. I suspect it's a difference in setup. In stock form they feel very lack luster, understeer, and overall aren't very exciting. Once they are setup for an individual's style, they're a blast to race. Well balanced and enough power to keep everyone relatively close together.

I really enjoy Brands Hatch and Mid Ohio - even with AI.. I generally hate single player / AI so that says a lot. The FRJs are just too slow for my liking and rely way too much on mechanical grip with the lack of downforce. The FR2s have plenty of grip, downforce, and power - but as a result a slight mishap will put you seconds down and any incidents will completely take you out of the race. The F4 seem to be the "Goldilocks" of open wheelers available in R3E.

A good tip I got from John Galus is to reduce(less negative) rear camber. Playing with the wings will help as well. I keep the front at 5 and adjust the rear wing(more angle) for rear grip in corners. Sometimes that means 5/8 or 5/3 depending on the track. If I have issues with understeer I will typically reduce rear wing, lower the front sway bar(for turn in understeer), or reduce front spring rates(for corner exit understeer).

For that F4 race @ RBR - How was everyone's tires? Only the 2nd full race I've done with F4s and I'm suffering from terrible front tire wear. I was running minimum front camber(-2.5) and trying to avoid locking up the brakes. Not sure if it's a lack of smooth driving or what but I was pretty much in the yellow/orange zone from the get-go. I did change the front spring rate to the 600# range from 800# between P/Q and the race, but I don't think that's the culprit.

Running the default setup, with minor power-on diff change. my fronts did turn yellow a few laps before the rears, but I was able to finish the race with only orange fronts.

A stiffer front spring should make the fronts wear more. Unfortunately, I don't have an answer to your tire wear problems. It appears I need to find a little more speed AND save the front tires too.

Bmw M1 Pro Car week-end.

I'll be sitting this weekend out. I don't own the m1 pro car. But I did try it out during the competition at macau, pretty neat car.

I personally loved the M1 Pro Car, but I guess I dropped the ball on that one

 

I really like the car, love the sound of it too. Could not race it today as right now I'm on the patio painting furniture

Just lovin M1 Pro Car sounds awesome hope s3 dont mess with it but add more cars, anyways i was there at 2pm but no one else and 6pm is bad time otherwise i was really looking forward to this event

 

we had a ok turn out for the 6pm pdt ( 21:00 edt )
