App Offical release of Crew chief version 4 - auto updating and shiny

created a profile in the driver and set pre-rendered frames to minimum and vsync to adaptive, not jumpy for me, but don't want to derail thread. They got a nice forum, too.

 

Not sure I understand what you're saying about the practice and qualify sessions - I'll have another look tonight.

I'll add a separate green flag sound (I have a bunch of recording to do anyway). I need to check how pcars behaves here to ensure it doesn't do something silly.

The rejoining track stuff sounds hard to get right - how do you know when to trigger it? How will the app know when you're about to rejoin the racing surface? I'll add the sounds though - it'd be cool if it could work with pcars (probably doable) and r3e (don't think it's possible)

I'm still unable to launch crewchief in the good game mode with a launch parameter.

My problem is not launching a game from crewchief, it's about launching crewchief in the right mode regarding the game i'll play.
I launch my game with simxperience simcommander, I can set a launch sequence with "external programs" to be launched when I run a game.
Before I only had to put "Raceroom" parameter in the launch sequence of crewchief.exe. but it doesn't work anymore.
It worked at the beginning when the Pcars support came. But as I don't play Pcars, I was only launching crewchief for Raceroom.
Now with the AMS support, I find it not working, I have to switch manually crewchief everytime I change the game to play.

The app is not working with AMS. It runs (I can make him shut up and talk again with the assigned buttons) but he does not say a word by himself. I think I'm missing something.

 

Oh it has changed. Back in the day it was "raceroom"

I have no clue on what you said here, but I do hope you'll be able to add it sooner or later. It's a really neat feature when you laucnh crewchief from a third party software

I was wondering this too, my first name is common enough that I'm pretty sure if must be in the lists!

 

I found the names

C:\Users\...\AppData\Local\CrewChiefV4\sounds\driver_names
My name is not in the list, that might be the explanation :/ I am not using the name here from the forum.

Delete the /AppData/local/CrewChiefV4/sounds/prefixes_and_suffixes/ folder, or change the time_between_personalised_messages property to be 0 to stop him calling you Mike. Or just accept that if The Chief says you're called Mike, you're called fcking Mike OK?

Quick question seeing the discussion in the Assetto Corsa thread about the pair of you poking around with other sims. Getting spoiled for choice already but seeing as there's a few interesting mods comming it's way soon what's the odds of you two taking a stab at Crew Chief for rFactor 2 aswell?

Would it be possible to add a game detection system to Crew Chief? So it changes the game based on the running exe? Image below is what I use with Opentrack and it's brill.
