How is this implemented. In other Sims is partially as follows:

automatic gearbox + autoblip + auto cut + auto clutch -> easiest -> slower
manual gearbox + paddles + autoclutch + autoblip - no autocut -> less easy -> a bit faster
manual gearbox + paddles - no autoclutch - no autoblip -> hard -> fast
manual H shifter -> manual clutch -> harder -> faster

Is that also in R3E ?

two settings auto clutch on or off if it is off it will have the cars real life settings so if the real car has auto blip and auto-clutch is off you will still have auto blip.

so to answer your question in a sentence "It is based off the real life car"

    Thanks, I know that.

In AC and iRacing the driver is encouraged to couple itself and switch. So you have realistic to drive.
When using the driver aids and autoclutch autoblib shifting is somewhat slower, so I am slower.
Therefore my question is whether that is in R3E too?

We want to probably go real possible Simualition and not play arcade.

not sure to understand what you mean exactly.

Don't you mix the "gaming aids" and the "real aids" ?
Gaming aids are not made to make you quicker, sometimes they can, sometines not.
Real aids (like those are on the real car, and mostly what you get when you play "get real") are indeed made to help being faster.

    What you say here:

Cannot be generalised in any actual sim, because it depends on the car you drive, the actual real aids you may get with it and how the game behave with it's own "gaming aids"

In AC and iRacing drivers will be rewarded with lower switching times, the moves realistically (Heel and Toe and other)

In R3E that seems to be not implemented.

Again: what are you talking about ? Rewarded against what ? Lower switching time than what ?

I really don't understand what you're comparing ...

When you use the clutch and heel and toe in cars that have a manual box in real life, yes: your shift times will be lower in those cars.

Don't think it would make sense to implement that in cars which have sequential boxes irl, since the real cars don't have an H-shifter.

Iracing rewards the drivers competant at driving without aids with shifting faster then possible than driving using aids such as autoclutch. I say competant because I'm certainly slower when using heel&toe.

Far as I know R3E does... Not?

Just poked around some in the 300ZX, and at least in that car autoclutch is slower, you lose more speed in between shifts. Not a massive amount, but it is there.

Did not really feel like testing other cars, and especially not the effect of heel and toe on braking distances or car balance... Have a massive hangover, not in the racing mood today :p

    to add to other responses,

    imho autoclutch works meh.

If I give it full beans it doesnt lose traction, first it acts like it's slowly taking a foot off of a clutch, and THEN loses traction. There's a delay there wich is VERY annoying :( Happens in 1st gear.

No, it doesn't show auto blip, auto clutch, nor engine brake reduction, which actually is just some auto applied throttle which causes the revs to drop slower.
The pedal overlay only shows your own inputs.

Thank you for the info. I guess it would be useful if Alex adds this indicator to the car info/physics list so users know which vehicles have it..
