A little update the wife and I split up, now living at my dad's house. Going to build a pc Saturday and hopefully getting a new wheel after the new year
Tried the new cars, DTM2016 and Audi TT Cup 2016, today in some Single Events. Didn't see the KTM anywhere! I noticed: 1. The cars feel good -- ie, they feel like cars with tires in contact with tarmac. 2. The green carpet run-offs are slick in the DTM2016. They mentioned the car is twitchy on curbing, and I noticed that but the carpet has definitely lost grip -- Two tires on the track people! 3. There is tire deformation! If you watch your DTM2016 in the garage and slightly rotate the rear tire, there is definite deformation. Tried the F2 and it was showing some as well, but not as crazy as Automobilista(?) Not sure which trailer I saw that had the crazy Formula Ford kinds of wobbly tire. 4. The options in offline racing are sweet -- matching offline servers now. Ran a DTM 3x tire/fuel race with R1=10m, R2=15m with reversed R1 finishing order. Now I DNF'd on the first race due to being short 4L on gas so I was still last in R2, so I didn't get to be reversed up the grid. In race 2 I was last, so pushed without a pitstop. Finished in 9th with 3 red tires and the LF worn -- was hoping the new puncture feature wouldn't happen
ok boys. Few things to chat about. First : Congrat to Richard Aka @Genghiz Kahn the winner of the champ. It was a great champ, i truly enjoyed hanging out and racing with you all. We got some very good new members and the field strength/quality is getting better and better. Second: Coming up soon in a couple of day we will be doing the prizes draw. Third : There is a lot of talk about next champ and what we should do. With the newly implemented reverse grid in multiplayer and something we can control at Dedicated server level its a no brainer that the 2 race format would come back. For the Cars we have to wait a little because like most of you i am excited about the KTM. Of course as usual we will do a vote. Now with that said we are already in the middle of November and for most of us December is quite hectic. With that said, I would still be up to do a small champ 4 or 5 races on our usual time slot granted that i get some assistance. With Emilio busy with the poop machine. Tim very busy at work. Chris taking a break and busy, Mike very busy with school. I cannot manage it all. I have spoken to a few of you that are interested in helping i am just throwing it out there anyone who is interested in helping is more than welcome. Fourth and final thing. I mentioned it before and i am mentioning it again. We have had a lot of people asking me about making donation and helping out so i have made a donation button a while back. @MeMotS nobody asked me for help . . . I presume I'm not a likable person , joking aside would love to help and with my experience and work schedule I think I can help . About the league , rather than something short I will take the plunge and wait for a bit more , maybe after December my work schedule gets more normal and I can attend all races . Tried the audi TT 16, and the ffb feels more connected I have more info in my t500 , might be placebo also , but couldn't do much as 503 was all over me
Did some laps at Hungaroring with Magnus, @mrSweSin, and found the new curbs are fantastic. Watching the Nov 2016 Dev stream https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwnm8GIVDL8 they mentioned more track updates, flags, online ratings, VR, triple-screen support, and a new SimBin office in the UK working on a new Unreal Engine product. Good times.
