Maybe you' are lucky because some guys from sector3 reconize the problem and are sorry because they can't find why.
(If you speak french : http://www.racingfr.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=52561&st=0&gopid=1686969&#entry1686969 and read the answer of vassalfada)

As a good frenchy like I am I do speak french yes :p
And the post you quote doesn't say at all that there are issues recognize by Sector3 !

We all know that the latest update broke the compatibility of the shared memory API, it was announced weeks ago!
Sometimes devs have to do such thing to improve the game, and look further.
The only issue is that you now rely on the support from the third party dev who did the software/hardware that use this shared memory API.

SimXperience was one of the most reactive here, because they worked directly with S3S to add support of their accuforce wheel.
So they knew it and had the code ready for the patch.
SimCommander4 and Simvibe had been updated day one to have support for new shared memory API, but other third party may not have and you may have to reach them by contacting support team.

    Seriously ?
You never updated your simcommander software?
Are you even logged in with your simxperience account ? (if not, of course you'll not get any update..)

(PS: I am a simvibe user, so I know it works great with R3E)

The V3 always do the update but the V4 never.
I don't have the "checking update" on the left side in V4. It stills the beta version for me.

"all know that the latest update broke the compatibility of the shared memory API, it was announced weeks ago"
Sorry but i play very rarely and don't follow the news on forums.

"And the post you quote doesn't say at all that there are issues recognize by Sector3 !"
OK but he recogizes that a lot of people have the same problem.

SC4 was out of beta long time ago !
Why did you never check on simXperience for updates ?
You paid 80$ for a software you don't care that much ?

Not for you, but for third parties devs who needs to update their tools.

The same problem is: third party tools not updated.
Most of what I saw here is player like you that didn't updated SC4 and came against Sector3 !
And when it appends that some thirs party dev didn't update, if you tel whitch one to S3S they can make contact with them to help them doing the update.
If a software/hardware doesn't work it 100% the fault of the maker of this soft/hardware, not S3S.
S3S did what they have to do here: announcing the changes weeks ago, and help third party to catch for the new shared memory API. there's nothing more that they can do.

I come on forums to find help, not to have somebody who give me lessons about the soft i paid with my own money !
Still don't find how to update simxperience. I believed it was automatic.
I play very very rarely because i Have a job and a family. Sorry for not being a "pursite" as you are. A real french, no doubt.

Thanks to other people who gave me solutions and sorry for this ridiculus off topic.

For people who doesn't have updates from simcommander :
    launch simcommander
    go to control center
    settings
    advanced
If, as me, "enable owners club" is not selected , click on it to select.
Give your user name and your code.
And then the update will come and vibrations will come back to R3E.

you won't get the update if your not logged in.. why don't you contact simvibe or go on there forums. it's your issue with simvibe not sector 3.
