    Hi all

I'm trying to get into GT3 racing. So far I've raced DTM and WTCC which seem to be more forgiving in terms of going into a turn, at least for me. I've bought one GT3 car which I'm not really happy with- The Corvette Z06.R. Its handling I can only describe as boat-like.

Going against 105% AI at SPA, they are destroying me at section 2. They just turn and accelerate so fast and effortlessly! Leaving me behind them, panting in my boat.

So what's a good GT3 car that handles well- sharp and agile like a DTM car? Or at least closer to it? I just can't really tell anything by the short test drive.

Is the RUF good? It seems to be popular in the leaderboards.

BTW: If all GT3 cars are like the Corvette, then I'll pass with GT3 to begin with. Not for me.
    Thanks

Have you tried test driving them in the store?

I have, yes. I find the test track is just too short, not enough turns to really gauge the car.

McLaren is a good handler. Great turn in, feels agile due to aero and MR layout. Turbo means you don't get as responsive throttle as some of the other cars but when boost is not fully up it can also help smooth out exits.

Probably one of the best cars in the corners. Just need to watch out for oversteer on entry.

Just to confuse you even more, I think the Audi is a good starter, it is not particularly fast on the straights, but it's reasonably stable and good through corners, at least with my driving style.

For a first or second GT3 car absolutely, good all rounder, can be pushed a little and forgiving with it.

For me the bentley gt3. Very predictable, stable during the braking phase and a good grip. Just a little bit heavy and be carefull during the reacceleration after a corner... for me the best and so beautiful.

I like Ford, Mclaren, Alpina and the Ruf most. Driving the corvette you have to use its torque because that is, what this car makes fast and then you will destroy the others in acceleration ;)

Probably Audi R8, Ford GT and McLaren MP4-12C (and 650s in future, which is nearly the same car). I would keep away from Corvette, Camaro, Mustang, Mercedes SLS and Nissan if you're beginner. And Alpina, because it's ugly :p

Yes, good job. We have now named the entire field :D

I think I'll try out Audi R8 and McLaren, seems to be a consensus of sort on them...

GT3 cars are quite a bit heavier and have less aero than DTM - they will never really feel alike.

I think it's not just because of your car choice and driving skills but it also has something to do with the ai itself. Even if you have the same car and the same lap time especially at spa Ai is noticeable quicker in sector 2 but then looses a lot of time through eau rouge, blanchimont and bus stop chicane.

I am not a great fan of Audi cars, but at Spa the Audi R8 is for me an absolutely great choice, very predictable and stable on the rear axle, exactly what you need in sector2 at Spa

    I would strongly recommend Mercedes AMG GT3, Callaway Corvette C7 GT3, BMW M6 GT3, McLaren 650S GT3 or Audi R8 LMS GT3!;)
    But, meanwhile take the Alpina!:)
