Yesterday i played Power & Glory, awesome historic cars mod for GTR2 first time for a very long time and instantly recalled why it was my favourite sim along with GTL. Those 60's and especially 70's cars are so much fun to drive! Cars like BMW CSL and Ford Capri are perfect mix of power, handling and nice fat tyres without too much downforce arounfd to kill the fun Unfortunately GTR2, even with all available graphic mods is showing it's age bit too much so i must ask if there would be any hope too see at least some of these cars in R3E in future? Already mentioned CSL & Capri, DeTomaso Pantera or 2002, Escort and Alfa Romeo GTAm would be great start for 70's racing i think...
I'm new to the PC realm, and I'm very saddened by the lack of proper vintage race cars in modern sims. There are a few here and there, but we need MOAR!
Yeah, agree ! GT Legend has the BEST carreer mode ever. I am still playing this, but I need so much time because I can never stop. But they had a problem with the air polution. The smoking exhaust is no very green Would be fantastic to have more classic cars. In RRE multiplayer mode are the cleanest race the DTM 92.
Glad to see i'm not alone Having absolute blast with DTM 1992, Gr 5 monsters, Gr A and M1 Procar in game i can only imagine how fun those old tc/gt cars would be.
Obviously there is lot's of cars to have in R3E but let's keep this thread about 70's TC/GT ones Just think about any of these cars at incoming nords = heaven...
Nice thread...! As I´m rather a Motorsport-Fan then a car admirer modern motorsports started during this era for me - well it also was the time of my "boyhood" (with all that boy dreams incl. being a racedriver, watching well-known movies with Steve McQueen or Paul Newman). GTL was brilliant btw. but to be honest I raced it rarely and when I did mostly with the 70`s cars. I really like pre-70s Vintage Cars/Oldtimers but more from an art- or design related viewpoint - not neccessarily racing them . Always a pleasure to find such a "real" car parking/driving by somewhere...
