    Irrelevant, depends on your geographic location.
    If you are going to have always online for verification then it should always be online and working, anytime it isnt there needs to someone available to offer a fix, inconvenient, pitfall of always online verification.

    Servers go down. It happens. It will get fixed.

    Given the current state of Intel server chips, we should be prepared for more common server issues on all of our favourite titles.

    Yeah. Nah. Hire two, three guys to just sit around doing nothing 99% of the time because everything works in case it breaks down when we're sleeping? Who would want that kind of job? No one.

    Anyway. Your content isn't permanently gone so don't worry about that. There will also be some manner of compensation for this.

    I also wouldn't want to pay extra money for every piece of content to pay for those extra 2 or 3 guys to be permanently on-call. One night won't kill me, i'll just go and be sociable with the wife instead.

    Hire no-one, you guys all have the knowledge and skill set to do the job, or at least one of you does, so an out of hours call is an inconvenience but it gets the job done (comes with the territory), and many happy customers.
