Why is it that some players are completely resistent to learn to be patient and respectful towards other drivers ? Just had it at WTCC 14 : A 20 mins race and the usual suspectsjust drive as if they are alone on the track, bumping into the grid first turn on purpose to get some mini-advantage, spin consequently next turn and instead of using their grey cells (if there is any brain) they keep on doing this as if the race is to be won in the first 5 mins....whats up with you guys ? Personal deficies to compensate, still 10-Years old ? All that is required is to keep it easy first lap till all sorts out and then you can (respectfully) attack as much as you want - there is no trophy to win, no Gridgirl waiting for you, no Talentscout around that just waits only for you to be the new DTM/WTCC/whatever Champion, goddamned. Its not about a single issue alone- such immature behaviour mostly affects the whole grid....
Yes I know Emerson, but it has gone better over the last months....might be that with new content new kids are on the block....
I think it's a good thing. Lots more poor driving and hurling of childish abuse means the game's getting more popular
A little Picture Story of what I mean. Location : Spielberg Series : WTCC 14, 20 mins race It's always the same pattern with these kinda guys : At start squeezing through (term is :"causing a collision") to gain some positions at all cost (bumping on purpose), from lap 3 on losing focus slowly, lap 5 losing focus completly & screwing up totally = (rage) quit...
If that's the race I think it was, from last night? There was all sorts of things going on, I started second (iirc), I felt for the guy behind me clean through turn one but he was lagging all over the place, of course that isn't completely his fault but it ended up with me taking him out at turn two when he suddenly lagged from behind, to in front in the braking zone (fyi, he has an earlier braking point lol). @David Plummer was also in the race, when I was making my way back through the field we had an encounter, I was behind him and then suddenly in front, I believe his exact words were "WTF?". There was a lot of the guys around the back of the field that looked like they were having some good battles, but, they weren't staying on the road, big help for me but not good in general. All sorts of other strange goings on too.
To be honest: This is something you have to live with when driving on non-administred public servers. It's how some people are and this kind of behaviour is not going to go away. Yes, I agree, it's annoying as hell, but you can either deal with it or quit simracing on forementioned kind of servers. Whatever you think will not change others peoples minds, probably thousands of kilometers away from you.
A little exposure here and there should be allowed. And I disagree - with reasonable ppl there is always a chance to talk about even half a planet away....maybe the guy above is and was just overambitious /overestimated his MP skills ? I don`t know....
@Ronin_GTDave It was that race and for me it was freakin' awesome - tough fight with D.Duck, Turbo (J.Guttmann) and R.Platzek but noticed from chat after, that there was a lot bad stuff going on....
I'm a casual racer, just want to jump in game pick a server and have some fun.Don't want to join any team or sign a contract to have a clean race! The notion that this aggressive behaviour is normal to me is unacceptable, not even in free games this applies like simraceway or acr. On the contrary what is norm is to give the place back when u take someone out, aggressive drivers is a dark aspect of this game even among the fastest ones, now I dont believe in punishment the only solution i see is the good paradigm so no revenge and no hit and run
Yes m8, thats what I´m talking bout as well ...I have absolutely nothing against noobs or casual drivers and I had some great WTCC 14 races recently where those who are too slow to compete with the top drivers nevertheless stayed fully aware of what is going on on the Track. I never expect for them to jump aside like mad frogs (which would be very arrogant too) just lift throttle a bit /look for the right spot to let pass- thats it...worked perfectly well - np at all
So far, the standard of multiplayer racing I've experienced here is much higher than in Forza5 public servers...
